XboxEra Community Hangout |OT2| Cracking down on shitposting

True. How many games exactly do you have in your backlog?

As a more open question - My Hard drive has over 780 games on it. Never enough time!

In case anyone missed it we had what I think is our best episode yet of the You Had Me At Halo podcast, and we’re working on a guest for the next one in two weeks.

Nice

Holy shit!!! I think you have more games on your hard drive than I have actually played in my entire gaming history. lol

Video done going up in the morning little over 15 minutes long was a fun video reflecting on the main numbered entries for halo before big infinite blowout at e3

same here. if FH5 is really there and releases this year everything else takes a back seat.

We have seen so much smoke that I’m 90 percent that it will be there

i’m ready to leave the UK for Mexico :blue_car:

We are past half of May.

so… this week we will have more additions of the Game Pass and possibly more news from the Xbox? news from E3?

If they don’t show gameplay for Hellblade, Avowed and Everwild that’s means none of them will release in 2022

Why? this assumption makes no sense.

If they ready to release in 2022, they definitely would have some gameplay for them

All the E3 demos are made for the E3. During covid it cost a lot time to create a demo. The other option is to show a game in the current stage of development. However I assure you they wont look pretty or polished. (Hust Halo Infinite Hust)

Of cause anything can happen. But not showing gameplay for Avowed, Hellblade or Everwild is no define sign they wont release next year.

Keep in mind that they could do it the Bethesda way, reveal it a few months before release, it’s possible. Especially now that they have Game Pass I think it’s possible that the need and pressure for extensive marketing campaigns might be less necessary. But if they can show gameplay now and they have something ready…it definitely wouldn’t hurt to show it off. It builds excitement for sure.

Very true, but many other devs, both first and third parties have shown with the Nintendo and Sony streams this year that it can be done. I hope Xbox can too. Like Klobrille said, last year they weren’t able to show anything and one insider (forgot the name) right after E3 said the same. This was all they were able to show. I’m guessing covid was the biggest reason.

If they don’t show those games now, I find it to be a fine opportunity to make another show later this year with those games and with gameplay.

Setting expectations for the coming year.

Not seeing it mentioned a lot but I expect Crossfire will be shown and likely given a release date. I’d guess some gameplay from the campaign from Remedy

I have to admit. I’m also starting to temper my expectations…

…Every time I open this forum

I used to think, “hey, maybe this time it won’t be a bunch of posts about what’s going to be disappointing about E3”. Now I’ve just accepted that it will be mostly those kinds of posts. And worse that this is still going to be a better time than after E3. When there will be months of postings about these pre-emptively set up disappointments
