This is an upcoming game, right? I think moves like this make a lot of sense, build an audience for this kind of games on Xbox.
Yes it is an upcoming game and was announced at Xbox E3 2019. The gameplay (what few seconds we have) looks beautiful
plus we already have Tales of Vesperia in game pass so if this gets announced then people can check it out while waiting for Arise.

It’s also not going to be as expensive as one might think to put it on considering it is a JRPG on the Xbox. It is just a win all round because the publisher gets paid, Xbox improves a traditional weak area and a new player base is potentially discovered.
Tales of Arise was one of the most gorgeous games shown on E3 2019 and it’s been on my radar for so long!
It was supposed to come out last year, so I believe it will launch by October.

You know its funny that sony bailed Days Gone 2 because it wasn’t a big seller and it had middling reviews because of Jank and other things but state of decay 2 was also a hot mess but probably did okay too and is making SOD3 so i don’t know ¯_(ツ)_/¯
