It is just so stupid because, like Jez always says, if anything XCloud is the reason why Microsoft has to continue to produce hardware. Afterall every XCloud Serverblade is an Xbox console.
Hardware business is very profitable. Even if the Xbox One undersold compared to the 360 all that revenue that comes from subscriptions, mtx and the store are all in the millions-billions.
This is gonna be such a nice feature when it lands, Try Before Download: Youâll soon be able to try Xbox games before downloading them - The Verge
Microsoft is planning to let Xbox console owners try games before they download them later this year. The new Xbox dashboard feature will allow console players to stream games through Microsoftâs Xbox Cloud Gaming (xCloud) service instantly. Itâs part of a push to integrate xCloud more into Xbox consoles and into the Xbox app on Windows PCs.
âLater this year, weâll add cloud gaming directly to the Xbox app on PCs, and integrated into our console experience, to light up all kinds of scenarios, like âtry before you download,ââ says Kareem Choudhry, head of cloud gaming at Microsoft.
Oh fuck.
I think that is more the hardware business is not the be all and end all, which I sort of agree. The console side is just one entry point into their ecosystem and not the only one as it was in the past, although it will continue to be an important pillar for Xbox. But you do see people say that Microsoft is getting out of the hardware business due to focusing on streaming which is just not true.
The best feature no one really talked about ![]()
Also the fact they will offer more Game Pass offerings for people around the globe.
So that would beâŚ

Uncle Nadella rocking a Halo Infinite hoodie and being in xbox presentations. This is truly the rise of xbox.

No way they spread out stuff like this with the amount of RPGâs in the pipeline.
Again please stop equating Xbox to the Empire.
The Empire loses.
And they never come back.
Because there are never sequels.
Except for Mando.
But Still.
But you just said⌠Just 1 ![]()
Or do you mean even more months between them?

Ah, my bad, haha.
But still, Jesus, thatâs a long wait. I would not mind two RPGs a year.
This is the real answer, one that is far removed from the âgotta win the console warzâ on one end and âXbox consoles will be no moreâ on the other end.
I find it funny people for years wanted MS to go all in now that they are the same people are mad cause MS is going to âmonopoliesâ gaming
Somebody on ERA put a Hall of Fame worthy bait thread based on something Phil âsaidâ and that made it to twitter and now its a mess.
Here is a tip: They never wanted Microsoft to be all in gaming but used it as a punch line. Now they donât like it because they prodded the bear too much and now the bear has woken up lol.
Twitter being a mess would definitely be a step up from the usual show it is.
