is it better than Rango?

To be fair we know they don’t want to announce acquisitions at E3 any more, and have been drip fed a lot of what Microsoft is working on so are going in with fairly realistic expectations.

By the way, do we know the reason why they had so long outage? It is kinda ironic considering that they launched cloud F2P Fortnite. Imagine all players that own cloud box being off (not to mention even local issues that common Xbox folks experienced).

Pretty much can say it was the cloud stuff imo, when was the last time there was a big outage like that and it happened right after they opened XBL/xCloud up to everyone for free on mobile/console/PC for Fortnite lol.

It seems Microsoft underestimated the thirst for gaming

I still think that Platinum would fit best with Nintendo.

I think Fortnite just brought a lot of new xCloud users.

Legacy means nothing in terms of price

CD, Eidos and TR, one of the most iconic and well known gaming franchises of all time went for 300m

Platinum is getting nowhere near 100m

Rango is so damn long ago, I really should see it again. Haha.

Animation style is totally different, it’s just very worth it in my opinion

Still can’t play some of the games on gamepass lol, Fortnite on Xcloud is definitely putting a strain on the servers

I don’t think it is Fortnite.

Though I do wonder why it happens all the time that engineers are unable to estimate the potential server load. Like seriously - all the time during new launches of the games servers crash. Especially now when with the cloud the scalability is so much easier.

I don’t think it is easy as it sounds.

But the thing is that it is not like it happens only once. Literally we had only a handful of launches that was “perfect”. There should be enough data to know what to load to expect. I wonder if it is a similar like GT7 situation where something just broke the servers and that’s it.

Imagine what’s gonna happen if they launch streaming device and literally nobody will be able to connect the first day turning it into a brick.

Weird, it works here on Colombia (I’m on PC though)

I think as more and more people get to play at the same time, with les and les barriers, handling servers is not as it once was. I’m not an engineer, but if it was that easy, I think they would have done it by now.

From the comments:

Smash.gg does the management for Evo and most gaming competition/tournaments.

Could it be that Microsoft will start their own tournament events?

Wait so Microsoft owns the company that manages EVO an event owned by Sony ?

I don’t know why but i find it kinda funny

Sony owns the event, Microsoft owns the brackets. Or something like that

It’s not always server load though, some outages have nothing to do with not having enough capacity. I think it was Outriders that had huge day 1 issues and that was because the Square Enix account login had a bug which caused a huge outage. So it’s not always just ‘buy more servers/capacity dur’ Mass influx of people can cause issues in other areas like I suggested.

Is that the one where Sony has marketing?

Almost 18 months. I’m not expecting the game itself until 2023. I can see a new gameplay trailer during Keighley’s Summer Game Fest in five weeks.

As of now, no. This is the new action RPG from Pearl Abyss who did Black Desert. They also have a game in development called Plan 8 which im also interested in.
