wow Remedy is a machine these days. I wish they had this output when they were working with Microsoft However, I am happy to see they’re getting support these days

I really liked Control. My two main gripes are the story being too convoluted towards the end and gameplay becoming repetitive. Other than that, it was a nice experience: visually good, powers fun to use and some interesting story beats.

This has been in various states of “we have additional Control projects in the works” for a while so it’s not entirely surprising, but it’s nice to see it confirmed all the same. I loved Control and would be happy for more. I just hope Remedy isn’t stretching themselves too thin here.

Feel like Remedy is working like 5 AAA projects at once, lol. Wonder when they start hitting.

If all goes well we get Alan Wake 2 next year, extremely exciting.

Well, I should say…we should. Anything can happen in this industry. But as BadNews said, it’s unfortunate that Remedy wasn’t like this for Xbox. Not for AW, not for QB. But they got Control released rather quickly without any real setbacks. The way they seem to be now would have been a fantastic fit for XGS.

Can’t wait for AW2, it would be awesome if they’ll have a gameplay trailer at TGA. Really curious to see Remedy’s take on survival horror!

Also great news that Control 2 is in the works, I loved the first game.

Maybe more constrained budgets has helped narrow their focus and kept things in scope.

Unfortunate, but good that they are rebounding.

Oh for sure. I mean AW was said to be a psychological thriller, but several parts in the game really felt like horror to me, the woods with those axe wielding ghosts and what not, man that was tense as hell. So take that and also survival horror and it’s probably gonna be a game I can’t wait to see, will buy and then be very reluctant to play. :joy:

With all due respect to anyone who is a fan of Remedy, but I don’t see significant value for the XGS.

AW2 could have been a exclusive for next year. Maybe even Control would have been.

Plenty people still wish for cinematic third person cinematic action adventures on Xbox…problem would have been solved.

Tango not making horror? No problem, AW2 coming.

Xbox has a couple of upcoming games like that.

MS can get all these types of games (adventure and thriller) with partnerships being exclusive or even adding on day one in Game Pass. In my opinion, there are much better studios that would actually add value to the XGS, and I don’t see Remedy as one of those.

It would have been good output for the price to buy them, and ultimately cheaper than signing games from other studios for Game Pass. They probably would have been fairly cheap.

It’s water under the bridge, though.
