Monday! New forum but the quest to diminish the backlog continues! Even though this past week has seen some heavy digging of deeper holes… Let’s hope for better results ahead!

+0 Spongebob Truth or Square for the 360

I got this from one of the last Game with Gold months iirc. Its one of the better plattformers on the 360, short, not that hard only the camera is really the worst enemy. Rather easy 1000gs.

Shouldnt that be +1. 360 games are yours to keep and not part of the ongoing subscription. That should be, in my book, a completion for a point.

That will be a +1 as @Searsy82 points out! It’s a game you own.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade +1

I was cautiously optimistic going in, came out a huge fan. What a game! Very little previous experience of FF games, knew nothing about FFVII but man… The characters, the world, the stories, the epicness mixed with goofiness! I really vibed with this kind of storytelling where things were allowed to take its time and characters could grow on me. Midgar being almost a character of its own, the city felt alive and it’s inhabitants with it.

The combat was great fun, and with a good amount of depth to it with all the different abilities, spells and materia combos. A lot of hectic, and varied, boss fights which always felt like an event. Again, presentation being awesome.

A lot of side content to engage with, and almost all of it added to the depth of characters, Midgar or the world. Even in the most basic quests there could be a little nugget of lore that I appreciated a lot. Lots of mini-games to to catch a break from the story, with very good rewards for the most part too.

The INTERmission dlc was also great, and I liked it a lot. Especially how it ran paralell to the main story and all the lore and new perspectives it gave.

Now I’m VERY hyped for Rebirth which I will jump into straight away in June to see where this is going!

Hidden Cats in London +1

Also got another one of these very nice “podcast games” done. Same formula but very enjoyable and perfect as a side activity.

Great to see that you really liked and enjoyed Remake!! Just a heads up, make sure that when you play Rebirth, you have at least a month to do so as it is a big game. Looking up my post in the currently playing OT from two years ago, it took me approximately 132 hours to wrap up the game and I didn’t complete every mini-game. Excellent game but again, be sure you give yourself enough time to play through it bud.

Yeah, I’ll set aside a good chunk of time for it. Really looking forward to it!

I absolutely love Crow Country btw! It and Fear the Spotlight are wonderful PSX-era indie titles that ooze with atmosphere. I would love to see a flood of PSX/Saturn/N64-style indies after the last few years of being bludgeoned by 8/16-bits…
