Lol that Pro tax from Sony isn’t really paying dividends.
Really glad I didn’t waste money on it like I intended to (the ridiculous price was the final push I needed to go all out upgrading my PC rather than ensuring I had both consoles like I have other gens) - PCs can easily outdo the Pro and without all the Pro bugs and Sony shenanigans…
I own a ps5 pro, but I decided on the Xbox play anywhere purchase instead. 007 has support for Razer Sensa with the Wolverine v3 Pro on PC and looking forward to that.
Luckily, I originally had the Xbox Series X from launch and a PlayStation 5. I bought the 2TB Xbox Series X Galaxy Black Edition and because of that, decided to trade in the launch XSX. I then thought what if I trade it in the PS5 and put all the credit towards a PS5 Pro? I did that and only paid $60 for it. So basically, $660 combined for the PS5 Pro and 2TB XSX.
I have only completed two games on my PS5 Pro. Yotei and Lost Soul Aside. Wolverine will be the 3rd come September. Plus, I will trade it in at some point. lol
It’s also very disingenuous how Sony make publishers / devs push the Pro as where games “will look and play best” - it’s then picked up by PushSquare and other PlayStation fansites who run that headline and so it becomes the truth - it’s happened with this game too despite the clearly lacklustre upgrades as pointed out in this article (PushSquare one linked below).
When obviously it’s a fucking lie - a monster PC will crush the Pro and run any game better, not least because Sony cheaped out and didn’t upgrade the CPU.
They do shit like the DualSense to ensure that advertising watchdogs can’t stop them or what publishers are paid to say, but forget that controller works on most of the same games on PC too.
It feels like no one challenges their narratives, even when it was flat out lies like “we believe in generations”
I had a Pro for Christmas off the kids & wife 2 years ago & it’s one of the biggest letdowns in my console life. I was more impressed with my Mega-CD off mum for Christmas 93
Hitman were always great on the Xbox platforms (even back in Hitman 2: SA on the OG Xbox) so I wouldn’t expect any less from 007:FL. Thankfully IOI is not like Capcom which cuts down graphical features from the base consoles to boost the PS5 Pro. ![]()
I already have the physical Xbox version pre-ordered and I can’t wait to play the game later this month!
