Day freaking one for me!! Black Flag is my favorite AC game and the game that made me a fan of AC. My only issues with Resynched is that the mini-map is gone and replaced with the compass (I hate the compass in every game and always turn it off). Other than that, I was hoping that the eavesdropping missions would be gone but it’s nice that if you seen/caught, it turns into a battle encounter which is great. Tailing missions never bothered me. With all of that said, as I mentioned, day one for me. Hyped!!!

So much better than I expected, well done Ubisoft, can’t wait to see how the remake of Splinter Cell now looks

I forgot this happened. Xbox news were overwhelming. That said this looks pretty good. I hope Ubisoft gets back on their feet. Seems like others are in that path like Square and apparently Xbox.

I’m really excited for this game. I love the AC games up to Revelations, but for whatever reason the gameplay kind of stopped clicking for me after that, until they changed it up again for the RPG games. 3, Black Flag, and Rogue in particular were games that I wanted to like a lot more than I actually did. This remake looks like it smooths over or changes everything that didn’t feel good to me in the original game, and retains everything that I did like. Perfect situation really.

Oh so this IS a remake, not just a remaster. Very looking forward to it, but I really hope it plays as good as Shadows, or at least Origins/Odyssey/Valhalla

Not a complete remake like the Resident Evil remakes where every element of the game is redone from scratch (voice acting and mo-cap are retained from the original) - but there are significant overhauls to combat, traversal, etc.

I mean this is a largely modern game, what needs to be remade is less compared to something from the PS1. But things like seamless traversal and more snappy gameplay and properly reactive AI would be big undertakings still, they require changing a lot of the layouts and code underneath

Yep. I’m really glad they had the license to make such big changes to the gameplay and combat. Based on what I’m seeing this could change Black Flag into one of the top games in the series for me, from near the bottom! :pirate_flag:
