A shame they won’t up the resolution since that’s still at 900p and really. We’ve had this game at 60fps for a long time now on Xbox anyway.

I’ll wait for tomorrow, as I’m still hopeful for some resolution bump, but even 1080p would be great. I’ll take every tiny upgrade with this gem. I’ve been waiting so long to replay it.

I think Unity is probably the most difficult AC game. It’s one of the only ones I never completed, as a total stealth dunce. You can sort of brute force the other games and eventually get through them but Unity gave me a lot of trouble.

Unity is still a gorgeous game to this day, glad they are still updating it as it can be had for cheap and deserves to be played.

I wonder if anyone will bother testing to see if hiw the 60FPS runs after the update? If it’s good I can see myself updating, if not Unity be omes an offline game like Wuchang.

Played Unity after it received the Xbox FPS boost and I low-key wanted to throw my controller at the game, it’s so horribly designed and plays like absolute shit, it and 3 are just horrible and I even made sure to try to remember if the whole original series was like that but no, having tried 2 recently it’s aged better than those.

That’s funny as those 2 (Unity and 3) are some of my favourite actually, along with AC Origins. The only other AC games I finished were Black Flag and Brotherhood, the rest just dragged out for me and I never finished them.

People are reporting it’s 4K60 with cloth physics still locked at 30, same as Syndicate. That’s nice.

Edit: cloth physics is 60 FPS!! At least on Xbox. It looks insane!

AC3 is the other one that I hate playing and have never finished, lol.

I liked 3 ok (the story was kind of disjointed with switching protagonists though) but the lighting got all messed up for me and it was hard to see most of the time so I didn’t do anything after completing the story. Working on 4 now, and after I do some dlc I hope to finally get around to unity. This timing worked out well for me as I’ve only played maybe 5 minutes of it so far so I’ll get the best version.

Been watching some coverage about the new update and Fuzion Xbox Testing was getting 60fps in almost all scenarios, the time it did drop was starting a fight in a large crowd and dropping smoke bombs. Also it’s weird that I see what everyone is wearing and remember that my character is dressed in bright yellow, lol.

Yeah, it definitely drops when using smoke bombs. There’s also a weird lighting bug that wasn’t there on Xbox One, but I think it still looks fine, considering HDR and Global Illumination and every modern lighting techniques were in their infancy at the time, at least in gaming.

Anyway, the game looks absolutely stunning for what it manages to achieve at the time. And the crowd technology is still mind blowing today.

Auto-HDR is also pretty great.

I guess that’s why it looked so bright in the day time, I thought it may have been brightness being kept at default or even brought up bit.

I tried everything, even turning off auto-HDR, but there’s nothing you can do, it’s part of how the game runs on Xbox. It’s either too bright or too dark because of the way the game lighting works. It’s still fine most of the time, you just have to set the brightness setting to get some kind of middle ground.

I just don’t remember it being thst bright before, but it’s been over a year since I played the game.

They released a small patch fixing the lighting bug on Xbox.

This is why it’s so weird for me to see anything related to this game.
