The PC takeover you can see with Cyberpunk is crazy. The Witcher 3 had a more even spread with PS as the majority but nothing over 50%. Then after a certain point with Witcher and from the start with Cyberpunk PC was a clear majority of the sales. 2020 was a massive difference, but that’s expected with all the performance issues on consoles. But that’s continued throughout the lifespan of Cyberpunk with PC ALWAYS having more than 50% of the sales and 35 million (or 45 million? Do we combine Phantom liberty sales?) isn’t a small number. So they sold 35 million copies of Cyberpunk over 6 years and every year over 50% of those sales were on PC? It’s crazy to me that the highest Xbox got was 19% and the highest PS got (with like double the install base) was 29%.
Witcher 3 feels like a more gradual takeover for PC. It was a pretty even spread until 2019. Then after 2019 it fell off on Xbox. Kinda surprised it’s stayed as high as it has on PS and PC (I get the switch since it was a more new port. Even then PC consistently remained the majority of sales 2016 and beyond.
It’s a really interesting look into the industry. There is a LOT Xbox can gain if they really pull off merging their PC and console market.
The Witcher 3 has revenue from being in PlayStation Plus added, neither of them have anything mentioning Game Pass as that is more recent
Don’t the look as one would expect? Console less than PC, Xbox less than Playstation, still a chunk of dough any which way?
Extremely excited for Witcher 4. Man I can’t fucking wait for that game. I’m now starting with Blood and Wine.

The biggest thing of note for me is the falloff Xbox has for the Witcher 3 from 2020. It’s actually a falloff I’d expect with the game being pretty old at that point. So it’s pretty interesting that PS still held on. Switch I get cuz it’s a new port and PC is PC.
