Cyberpunk 2077 |OT| It feels like it's taken 2077 years for this game to release (and might take another 2077 years for it to be fixed)

Finally!!! Been waiting for the current generation upgrade for 15 months!! lol

Watching the 32 minute Xbox Series X gameplay walkthrough. Looks great and seems to play much better too.

My mid to late March game is now set with Cyberpunk 2077 as I will finally play it. Hyped!! :joy:

Very disappointed with no NG+, and it seems that they’ve not done much to further differentiate between the 3 lifestyle choices, but that was a long shot. Will give it a quick whirl, as the city is fantastic to drive around in, but will hold off on another playthrough until we get some meaty dlc.

I could have done without his smug contribution

Lol

What do you mean with all settings turned off?

Also, do we have raytracing now? And I assume that mode is 30fps?

I’ve been waiting a while for a reason to start a fresh play though of this game. And the indivisual things I see in the notes aren’t anything too incredible on their own. But as a whole there is a lot there that definitely have me ready to jump back in

I’m a little bummed it won’t go over 60fps, though I would be curious to know what the real difference on Series X there will be as far as frames go, between the performance mode and resolution. Because isn’t it aiming for 60fps either way? Like how much and how often of a drop will you get with it set for 4k and rtx? That will determine what way I’m looking to go with

I have these turned off on performance i think it looks better im playing on a c9 …yeah ray tracing is only 30 fps i tried it but i cant go back to it …been playing to many games in 60 now ha …

Ah yes, that kind of stuff.

Yeah I got ya on 30fps, it’s very hard to go back. But I will definitely check out raytracing to at least see the difference compared to when it’s off. I’m on a C9 as well.

I assume performance mode is dynamic 4K though, right?

the’yre both dynamic 4K.

nice any other improvements worth noting?

I played the long game on this – already have it downloaded but haven’t purchased it yet. If it comes on Game Pass like its rumored to, then I will dive in this game immediately.

The trial is 63.1 GB. But I saw on another forum that it’s like 90GB for them. So I guess the trial isn’t the full game with a timer?

Dictator with some info on the Ray Tracing Local Shadows setting:

Cryptic update to the ray tracing on CP2077 PC that explains the “RT local shadows” on PS5/XSX. The RT shadows setting on PC now also adds ray traced shadows to artificial lights, previously, it was just to the sun light. The tool-tip still erroneously says sun shadows only.

I’m gonna check the trial tomorrow and I’ll start with raytracing, definitely want to see that at night. Does this game let you switch between the modes on the fly?

Updating right now 45.33 GB for me, Series X.

the update was listed at 45.33GBs for me, but it’s passed that number and climbing pass 50GBs.

Edit: Total size of the update ended up being 62.92GB.
