I own the game, so I don’t know what the trial size is. Is the trial a separate sku?
The thumbnail shows the X and S logo, so probably not. How can I check what sku it is again?
I was 25-ish hours in and set the game down to wait for this patch. I was having a lot of fun with it and didnt experience a whole lot of issues but wanted a better experience.
Cant see myself playing on anything besides performance these days.

According to the patch notes the Series X version is a different SKU auto updated via smart delivery; the reason the download sizes are the same is because the update probably completely reinstalls the game instead of a partial update.
So the trial is the full sized game

I was on a Dutch tech forum in the Xbox thread and someone who’s played the game already for hours said the game looks bland to him in performance mode. That it’s dynamic 4K now but seemingly to him shadows and things like that have been sacrificed.
I have never played the game myself, no idea how it’s supposed to look. I also can’t check it myself, tomorrow I’ll go play it. He also said he was immediately greeted with floating objects.
You don’t even have to interact with him to get blocked btw

People follow him because he’s one of a few legit journalists in gaming and does legit work. He also has a lot of leaks which people love. He may have a preferred platform - we all seem to - but you tried to antagonize him and got blocked. I’d block you too.

Indeed, social media is like a flurry of sewerage coming into your house unbidden, where as twitter is a sluice you yourself created to allow it easier access. (To paraphrase Stewart Lee).
Frankly considering the hate I see people getting on twitter from death threats down to drole commentary on X, Y or Z I am not surprised people have zero tolerance. I have no idea how people have the spare time to waste on twitter at all, much less the time to waste on people on the wind up.
I myself tried to participate on twitter last year, sticking to friendly types from here, people being helpful about mental health and from the LGTBQIA+ community and the sheer amount of trolling, dickish hateful comments you end up seeing as others are attacked and brought into spats even when you’re trying to curate your content is staggering.
Im not surprised many have resorted to just blocking willy nilly, its not worth it to participate when hundreds of people are shouting the same thing to get into a bad faith argument.

His investigative books and articles are very high quality. I don’t care if he acts like a jerk on Twitter as long as he keeps putting out great product. He does seem super thin skinned for a guy who dishes out a lot of big talk, lol. But whatever.

I just blocked Schreier without ever interacting with him, because the things he posts generally annoy me, and I feel no urge to read them. If he leaks anything important it will get shared on this website anyway.

If his Tweets annoy you, do yourself a favour and don’t listen to his podcast, you’d probably have an aneurysm if you did. I had to unsub because I just couldn’t handle his whiny take on so many things. It doesn’t hurt that his voice is pretty damned grating too.
I do still subscribe to his Twitter though, because as others have pointed out he does produce some decent investigative pieces, particularly for the gaming sphere, and he does appear to have good connections.
Cyberpunk 2077 was a phenomenal game. For anyone that missed it at launch and will be jumping in with all the fixes and patches, you are in for a really freaking awesome time!

If only it were like this… Guy is a jerk, full stop. Not about him having a preferred platform or anything. He literally blocks anyone that questions him, legitimately. Nothing hostile or “antagonizing” he just can’t take any criticism or legitimate questioning, he blocks people that don’t even interact with him, just if something you write or someone you follow is perceived to be negative towards him, you’ll get blocked

Sounds completely reasonable for him to do so given the amount of crap he takes from trolls and others who then gloat about it on message boards and try to use it as some sort of ammo in this narrative that everyone is anti-Xbox or whatever your thing is. Guess I’m a “coward” for blocking certain accounts or members because I find what they say offensive or bad faith? Why even mention him here if you don’t like him? Anyway, enough of this. I hope we all move on and no feelings are hurt here and my apologies if I’ve hurt any.
On topic, I still can’t get the darn update to uh, update. It doesn’t pop up!
