Because of the game being more than a year old you mean?
It’s a nice deal, but first I’ll play the whole trial, see if it’s my thing.

Oh Damn… Another game I am ok playing at 30 fps
What is happening to me ![]()
Shit took me few weeks haha mainly because i took my time and did everything
He isn’t all that good of a journalist tbh. Ex. He has had contradictory claims about his sourcing in the past, even specific to covering Cyberpunk in fact.
Ppl like him because he gets leaks and there aren’t really many competing journalists doing that sort of thing anymore these days. Klepek doesn’t do much these days, Takahashi seems less interested in gaming itself than tech stuff, etc. Jason also gained a large following by telling certain sectors of forumites online what they wanted to hear.
Can personally attest to this. He blocked me when I asked him to clarify how many sources he had on his Cyberpunk crunch story. [The article says it was just a single source (which is problematic in its own right) but when he attacked the GI editor after she challenged his narrative on the matter he claimed to have almost a dozen sources for the article. I asked him to clarify and promptly got blocked.]
Wat. It was/is an amazing game. Some of the best storytelling in a game I’ve seen imho. Disappointed the RT isn’t for reflections by the looks of the next gen patch tho. ![]()
Nice to see so many people now jumping into the game for the first time proper. I played it a year ago and had little to no issues on the Series X but this looks like a very nice upgrade.
I did EVERYTHING though, so no interest in going back, I really want more content with proper expansions. So many stories they can tell… Awesome game!
This is what I also wanted to mention. His behavior isn’t just towards Twitter unknowns or “console warriors” and the likes, it can be towards other professionals and people in the industry as well.
I’m still very hesitant to spend the $30… ![]()
The 30fps for XSS is holding me back a bit too but not the only reason, I still have those bug compilation videos in my mind…
I think it’s worth full price. It’s a very good game, with stories and characters that are really memorable. My GOTY for 2020 for sure. Very happy I didn’t fall into the meme-trap online.
I tried 30fps mode for the game at launch and it was really jittery for me so had to go to 60fps. I’m normally happy with 30fps for games like this but it was super rough in some of the flashier bar scenes. Presumably that got smoothed out with the update but def something I’d watch out for.
Same. The gigs were boring (as auto-generated side stuff to do to farm XP) but the actual side stories were the best I’ve ever played. Tons of them, all memorable in their own ways, all with top tier storytelling. The characters are just sooooo well done it really is an incredible feat. Happy more can finally experience the game with a more open mind too.
I have to trust the game isn’t buggy anymore
I just finished RDR1 which is a 30fps game so yeah I can tolerate 30fps too but some games don’t consider 30fps in how they’re made. Like I still play FH5 in 30fps because it turns out I’m a graphics wh0re
and the 30fps is actually quite smooth
Ok so someone in another thread posted a video and 30fps does seem real damns table here! that is great to see. Also they said in the vid RT includes reflections. Can anyone confirm?
Worth it though? I switched between the two modes and resolution wise I don’t see much of a difference, I think performance mode might even look a tad more sharp? But the raytracing…I don’t know. I probably wasn’t at the right spots when I checked it but I’m not seeing all that much difference. Checked a video by Resero and it was the same for them.
I mean, I had almost no issues a year ago…
It’s nothing game breaking but in the apartment complex where V lives I saw two women run right through a closed gate, lol.
What I meant is the game ending will imo leave a lot of people feeling hollow, like how you feel when something amazing ends and you don’t know what to do for a bit, that’s how the ending had me (bonus being I took the ending which was perhaps the most melancholic). Maybe the ending they choose will impact that, especially if it’s something of a more positive one. But I went straight for the saddest one lol.
Having grown to love all the characters and having to say goodbye to it all was hard. Not trashing the story lmao, it’s the opposite in fact.
I find pop in more bearable in 30 fps mode. Maybe it’s just me. Does not know about resolution. My sorry ass is playing on a 1080p monitor ![]()
Ah gotchya. I can see that. ![]()
Well I have played it for 1.5 hours and I can report bugs still remain. At this point you just have to accept it will never be bug free.
