No, what I mean is why did it take so long to add what is a basic feature. MMO’s usually all have pets as a part of the game, even the first descendant added a pet before Fortnite.
Feels like their devs played themselves when trying to dunk on COD. Unsure how they’re going to make money with boring skins . None of the “realistic” skins caught my eye . I feel devs listen too much to the loud minority because those are the people that aren’t spending crazy money on skins
That’s what people wanted. 2042 was the same, bar the few outlandish skins they’ve added later on.
I think it’s fine. They should tone done the flashy vibes a bit and it will be good.
And I don’t know what people are smoking because even the BP has some cool skins, some I see myself definitely using when unlocked.
The chatter around BF6 is so stupid at the moment. I remember every BF launch and it’s was so bad compared to the complains here… people are complaining about skins while other BF games were sometimes so buggy it was unplayable… I rememeber when BF4 had litteraly a black screen bug on Xbox One for like a month or 2.
Ugh, read the reviews for the latest PC game pass release to lose faith in humanity a bit. It’s review bombing over people mad that a free to play game was added for in game benefits. Microsoft really just shouldn’t let any GP sub review a game with zero playtime hours. And the reviews don’t even make sense. People are acting like Xbox is going to make every game addition a free to play title and stop doing anything else for game pass. As if there weren’t just multiple single player day one games including multiple $70 games within the past like not even two weeks.
I would say Xbox would be wise to separately list and clearly label games added for in game benefits and what those benefits are all in one place (instead of seeing a free to play, not knowing why it’s there, and then checking the benefits in the in game benefits section). This is a fairly new feature of game pass they are ramping up, and they need to label it better for those of us with more simplistic minds (). But also I do get that the visibility and increased discoverability is probably really big for devs and probably why they brought their game to the Xbox App. Unfortunately the Xbox App is more known as the Game Pass app than a proper PC storefront and launcher, and that’s a separate issue Xbox REALLY needs to solve if they want to genuinely grow as a PC Platform.
Xbox has had f2p stuff on the list before and even benefits for f2p games not on it.
As for reviewing, yes that is something they should have taken care of a while ago. Anyone reviewing the game needs to have at least 5 hours before they could even review it on Xbox and Xbox PC separately.
This way if they want to review bomb, they need to open the game for 5 hours and lose out on playing anything else.
Personally, though I would go 8 hours and 5 achievements, force them to play the games.
I’d be as lenient as just the first achievement. Actually yeah, tying it to achievements would be really good. Even in Vampire Survivors (playing the new updates) only 66.21% unlocked the first achievement. The achievement is literally just to survive for one minute with any character. Even the first one would just weed out the people that saw a game and decided it killed their parents. Or like opened a game, saw they/the pronouns, and decided to rant about it like Xbox reviews is Twitter. (the latter crap should just be removed outright; do people review the reviews? Because there’s some blatantly offensive stuff there sometimes).
I’d also love if there were options for more in depth reviews and providing those additional details netted some reward points. Like they could add sections and questions for performance and gameplay and story and music and so on. I find it such a missed quality how little interaction there is with reviews. They’re probably most people’s only feedback (like I imagine a lot don’t hit up socials or go to a game’s discord). Might as well gather some more useful data from them while also creating more useful reviews. And if it’s optional no one can complain (though some things shouldn’t be optional like having a fricking title for your review). Leaving just a star rating is fine, but Xbox also weirdly shows the reviews with no title or description like normal and they let reviews with a description but no title or vice versa exist.
At best we can down vote the reviews, but it can’t just be one achievement imo, it needs to be a big enough time investment where they either lose an entire day of gaming, or they go whine somewhere else.
In depth reviews is for game reviews by sites like Xboxera or guides that take us through all the ins and outs of the game.
I mostly just mean for the feedback to devs I guess. Probably should’ve made that clearer as a separate thought I guess. I mean it’d be nice to have Xbox slightly incentivize us actually giving good feedback to devs (through reviews or something else (like give something a little worthwhile in Xbox insiders)).
But yeah, for the actual reviews on Xbox, I’d just settle for them not being the same ilk of grifters I see on Twitter. I can only click that little flag to report reviews attacking pronoun options so much and down vote nonsense so much.
