Agree 100%. This is why im barely on Twitter/forums anymore. Would much rather spend my time playing games (like Arc Raiders for example which is freaking awesome by the way!!) than keep seeing all this bullshit online. It’s just not worth my time (or anyone’s for that matter) anymore.
Am gonna be very blunt, a tech crash of some magnitude is going to happen and once it does i really don’t have a clue as to what that would bring to a customer but to the people employed in these companies.
Now that is an ugly picture to just even think about but given how history likes to repeat itself at times, yeah its gona happen one way or another whether these companies are aware of it or not.
I mean, why do you think square enix has abandoned exclusive third parties going forward? Also Hideo Kojima gaining the rights for death standing(Am enjoying it quite a bit, once the next game hits xbox i will most definetly buy it).
Now if only the likes of Koei Tecmo learned this than they would not be in a more unstable state compared to either Sega, Capcom or Square Enix.
Thank you I’ll check em out. I have heard of Cotton before. Already got Andro Dunos. I don’t remember if I told you but since we spoke I got Guwange, Strania, Andro Dunos and Pocky & Rocky Reshrined. Pocky was an excellent recommendation btw
It’s been that way for years, and for the majority of Sony’s exclusives… no matter how much the reality-averse media want to pretend otherwise, it’s literally the reason Sony has had to shutter a dozen studios over the last decade, why they started releasing content on PC years ago, and to today where they’ve started releasing games on other platforms outside of their console ecosystem…
I know, expecting a semblance of intelligence from that lot is a fool’s errand (luckily, the majority of us have far more important matters in 2025 than falling for pathetic rage bait attempts).
At the very least, given those sales numbers, I wager we see the PC version announced a bit sooner.
Playing BG3 and close to moving on to act 2, I was fighting a group that I didn’t want to kill and after taking out their false god decided to run away. My monk characters movement is wild, when using dash she can get a total of 44 meters of movement.
I for one wish I didn’t have more important matters in 2025. I can’t say I like living in this record setting time of “longest government shutdown” (the USA has now passed the biblical flood) or “Most dangerous [XYZ] extreme weather for fifth time.” Maybe that’s part of the reason: confronting the global economic conditions all consoles are facing means confronting the reasons behind those conditions and those reasons are a lot more real. I’m sure people also get a kick of good chemicals in their brain using Xbox as a punching bag.
Its somewhat interesting. I’ve seen discussion around the tarrifs (not at all the only reason for the global economy and inflation being as it is, but a major immediate one in the USA especially with how consoles are classified) treated as a touchy controversial topic online involving more touchy controversial partisan politics. But Xbox = Bad is just so easy for them.
You are welcome! also that is one awesome selection of games you got there, Pocky is great fun!
It seems like f2p multiplayer titles and PS Plus does a lot of the heavy lifting for a big percentage of the PS fanbase…but apparently “Game Pass is the devil and is destroying the industry”.
I mean let’s be real, despite the console numbers no one there is really buying new video games on playstation,it has become a more casual hardware, where the users speend more time on live service games than on single player games, the same will occur with nintendo once call of duty, any gacha game or battlefield show up there.
Xbox, mobile and pc are the ones who came up with better strategies for users to buy up single player games when compared to the other two. I mean i noticed now that there has not been much promotional material for the likes of the new metroid game, in fact all i saw was how nintendo are still trying to find a dying battle against palworld.
Jesus, I only just now saw the tweet by Jaffe about a post by a guy that lost his father. And then for Jaffe to double down on it too. Ngl, he lost quite a bit of respect from me there.
Games that require Internet connection because the full game data isn’t on the disc has been a thing for ages. I think people get it by now. It’s weird to me that Nintendo feels the need to come up with special terminology for it and draw as much attention to it as possible.
Some spicy bits from the Windows Central article about Helldivers 2 on Xbox:
"Helldivers 2 released on Xbox on August 26, 2025, and early estimates showed just how strong that launch was. A report suggested it sold more than 900,000 units in its first six days on the platform. For comparison, its original PlayStation launch was estimated at around 633,000 units in the same six-day window.
Sony confirmed this in its Q2 FY2025 report. It said:
Helldiver 2, which was also released for Xbox in August of this year, is doing extremely well, not only attracting new users on Xbox, but also seeing increased engagement from existing users on PS5 and PC. This resulted in a significant increase in sales of the title year-on-year.
Sony Q2 FY2025
The wording suggests Sony may not have expected such strong performance on competing hardware. It also raises questions about how Sony might approach future releases."
Bring Bloodborne and Gravity Rush 2 remasters on Xbox Totoki, I’ll buy them at a high price!
I could totally see them experimenting with some older, “nonthreatening” releases like Horizon Zero Dawn or Spider-Man 1 on Xbox. How cool would that be!
Worth noting that the recent financial report stated that at this period, first party titles sold a million more than last year period, which leads to one thing:
Trust me; as an American Millenial born in the 80s who’s directly affected by the government shutdown (while dealing with everything in the world, on top of the absolute shit personal year I’ve had), I wish the only thing that was a worry was gaming.
