Came here to share this too and you beat me to it ![]()
Excellent if slightly depressing thread.
Backlog will keep me going in the long and dark roblox-AI future.
I donât think classic AAA releases will disappear, but I definitely think they will become increasingly scarce (which might honestly be good for the companies that will remain in the classic AAA sphere).
Itâs because theyâre jealous their platform of choice doesnât offer the service.

It was a 3 months exclusive window, yet it managed to last a year. I understand the circumstance. In any case, at last.
Xbox hardware down 30% ![]()
Just being real here: Even if youâre not super into the direction that the Xbox ecosystem is moving - and Iâve personally got some reservations - If the alternative was âbusiness as usualâ and a downward spiral that ends with exiting the hardware business Sega-style⌠Iâll take the option where the ecosystem still exists in some form.
Series X is the best video game console hardware ever IMO, and Series S is an innovative, perfectly positioned answer to a big need in the space. If these consoles couldnât turn around the Xbox Oneâs downward trajectory, then nothing was ever going to.
30% in year 5, with a new handled partner device announced and next gen announced as being on the horizon, despite a price increase.
Honestly not as bad as what most were saying.

Not bad, I agree. Though the PS5 was up 3%. Not sure why, as the PS hasnât been putting out first party developed games. At least not to the degree that Xbox has been.

Probably price, branding. They still focus on selling hardware.
(In case anyone hasnt tried them out, working my way through The Alters and Atomfall, both very good so far)

I think the days are long over when âwhat does this yearâs first party slate look likeâ determines which console youâre interested in. Itâs overall brand image and brand loyalty. If youâre a die hard PlayStation person, thatâs what youâre buying. And most gamers at this point are PlayStation/Nintendo fans, and thatâs not changing.
Game Subscriptions reached an all time monthly high (0.6 billion), 3rd consecutive month of growth. Game Pass continues to flourish.

Been cracking away at Alters, great game. But Iâm having a hard time keeping the Miner alive for some reason. Iâm not sure if there is a specific sequence as to which Alter you choose to clone or if itâs the decision paths Iâm taking.

That canât be right, according to the media nobody buys Xbox games⌠or even likes Xbox ![]()
