Lol one of my earliest experiences of coding something more complex than simple BASIC games was amending and creating AI scripts in Age of Empires 2.

I used to love setting it that when I said a particular thing in the chat, all the AI players would go hard at each other lol - was great fun watching the chaos and carnage

Yeesh. From really doesn’t want it remade, or just touching the IP in general.

YouTube has no public APIs to enable us to link YouTube Membership and site membership together, which is super irritating. We are investigating possible solutions. Will update when I know more.

Not the membership, just login into the main site with my google/youtube account, that way I won’t have to make a new account before subbing.

Or is it available? Because if it is I have to do some adjustments on my end.

I don’t blame them for being protective of IP. I don’t know why these devs just don’t make their own game. Just look at a game like lies of p

It’s Sony’s IP though, From shouldn’t have a say in what Sony decides to do with it, this also ended up killing Bluepoint because Sony cancelled their work and didn’t even try to find them any work on what they know how to do best. Remake games! with so many of the IPs that they own and have kept dormant.

That is all @Sikamikanico and @Predrag

I figured at this point we can only wait.

To play devil’s advocate games already do that. Games like Devil May Cry have a mode where it’ll do combos for you. Forza Horizon 6 is introducing a mode where the computer drives the car and you can just watch the scenary. I could actually see this being useful if it’s just some universal version of that either minimizing the work devs need to do to implement those features or erasing it entirely. The game wouldn’t really suffer from not having that work done.

It might also have research purposes? Something like finding ways to improve tutorials and the onboarding process. The actual concern would be it replacing QA workers (though I do unfortunately feel like they will see upheaval (the industry already mistreats them)).

While that’s true you don’t want to anger a partner as respected as from software . I think these studios should make pitches for realistic games rather than a Hail Mary

They did make pitches, but Sony is treating their own studios like a business too and the other studios rejected them. Sony also cancelled the game they had been working on for 3 years.

Pitching a remake was their final move because Sony wanted them to make new games. Which wasn’t what they specialized in.

Playing RE Requiem without having seen any significant spoilers online has been great so far, I’m getting strong RE 2 Remake memories out of this one.

Without inclusion of real life world, in gaming media world, it sure is wild. Activision now got rid of “leaker” for CoD titles and so, he called it quit. For better or worse, this year is quite productive.

So they found the leaker and fired him?

Got the messenger, the clout chaser.

Why do I feeling the person leaking is just going to send it to Nick now?/j

This didnt kill Bluepoint.

I understand From Software point here. Just remaster and rerelease the game on current platforms. I don’t think Miyazaki is against this. But such a project doesnt employ 100 people for years

Bluepoint was killed because Sonys studio management is stupid. Why have the studios fight and pitch over ips and remakes? Its this again

During the FTC case I remember seeing something about like a US representative saying they’d look into unfair practices by Sony or something. I’m kinda surprised, for better and worse, that this administration in particular hasn’t been more responsive of the fact that there’s only one American based console platform, and that Tencent is so powerful in gaming. Not that it’d be good if they did get involved and specifically tried propping up Xbox over everything else. But it would’ve made sense with their whole agenda. So kinda surprising to not even have heard them try.

That was last adminitrastion with Lina Khan I think, the issue was Xbox being part of Microsoft made that FTC that actually wanted to help focus on the wrong thing. The current FTC is all about creating a right wing media that will work for Republicans only.

See Paramount winning the bid over Netflix and Netflix walking away after a visit.
