In case nobody checks out the Fable thread.
People payed them while they worked.
Hope we can see it too. Now to block this link.
Edit: not a link.
So… nothings changed? Well actually that’s kinda more confirmation for multiplatform. Doesn’t this mean the next major Halo will be multiplatform at launch as Halo is always a big budget multiplayer game?
It sounds like they will share it to everyone.

so gears must not be going very hard into multi player/live service based on those comments?
The exclusivity talk is always going to be a shitshow. It will take years for people to understand the exclusive pattern. Starfield was also exclusive until it wasn’t. So you never really know anymore.
Yes. Wo Long was a huge Xbox release from what I remember. They marketed it a bunch and did day one Game Pass and XPA. Surprised it got a sequel tho.
Makes me wonder if they’ll seperate the multiplayer and port it.
It feels like a lot of stubborn willful ignorance. The definition of “exclusive” has been warped so hard by people to try to keep them a thing. PC doesn’t count. I remember when Ori went to Switch and people said that didn’t count. Multiplayer doesn’t count, but nevermind that most of Xbox’s iconic first party live service multiplayer.
Forza Horizon 5 made the leap 4 years after launch and was highly successful. Who knows how long Gears E-Day will not be on PS5. Maybe forever, maybe not. People really just need to accept that exclusives are dying out. Third parties are increasingly not taking those deals and console manufacturers at this point are subsidizing their exclusives (with higher prices or just not making as many exclusives) not using exclusives to subsidize hardware because new people aren’t buying consoles for exclusives (or at all really).
After PC more console releases was inevitable. Its been case by case since Ori (what the studio wants and whats best for the game) and will continue to be so until there’s no exclusives not until there’s no multiplatform games. What people also need to acknowledge that overtime that “case by case” will look harder and harder for a game to make the case for being exclusive. The value of making a game exclusive has just greatly diminished and is continuing to do so. It’s becoming more and more expensive to produce games (AAA game budgets have ballooned) and market them against stronger and just more (there’s arguably too many games) competition including forever games. And the reality is that console sales aren’t growing nearly enough to keep up with those costs. We also live in a capitalist and stock market run economy that demands growth yearly. Exclusives are increasingly becoming a problem that need to be solved for to stick around. Either by raising the prices of first party games or warping the definition of just not making as many games or porting to other platforms.
I still wanted them to do that with Halo Infinite to breathe life in it. Actually when rumors were rampant I wanted them to keep Halo Infinite as the multiplayer live service game and build upon the great content stride. Then make the next major Halo campaign only to focus on it being feature rich and a complete narrative.
I’m really happy with the showcase! I’m glad Xbox is giving us Gears and Clockwork as an exclusive. I appreciate them investing in us as Xbox gamers. I preordered the $99 edition for Gears and Fable, I preordered the $69 for Halo. I also preordered the Assassin Creed Black Flag and Star Wars Zero Company on Xbox!
So it really is out now, then I don’t get why it said July in the trailer. Lol. Either way. Good news!
July for the expansion.
For some reason the game isn’t available in the store for me in The Netherlands.
Guess I’m going to have to set my Xbox to USA as country now. Yes that did the trick. According to Google the game is region locked for The Netherlands for some reason. Now I hope after installing it I won’t get some bullshit.

Grubb says Blade might be dead. Well, fuck.
It’s incredibly short. He doesn’t say much else about it. But we haven’t heard from this ever since what…2023?
He is likely going to look into it though, if it is the people from Arcane are likely more willing to talk about it early as they have been more critical of Phil and Sarah’s decisions in the past.
Sounds like speculation to me, also wouldn’t be the most surprising thing in the world with the movie reboot being basically dead.
Not hearing anything about it isn’t strange, since this was probably announced very early due to Disney requiring it (like Indiana Jones and Wolverine).
Probably barely in full production until quite recently.
