Man, Game Business let alone Chris D is getting body slammed for that report. Everyone is on fire, so this kind of stuff must trend very carefully. Then again, it does feel like Xbox has more defense despite knowing next week will be devastating, so it’s nice to see it, perhaps for the last time in the same scope.
Between constantly closing studios, the rising price of games (I feel 80 USD is just going to become the norm after GTA6), rising price of hardware, the announced death of physical and the probability of losing all your games if your account gets hack/banned being even higher.
People that weren’t into video games for fake anger engagement farming are actually angry and ready to lash out.

It sounds like a very easy and clever way to handle the “disc to digital” conversion, it also sounds way less complicated than what the previous reports were describing which is great news. The only thing that sucks is that this probably won’t support the OG/360 games…hopefully they can find a way to handle these systems as well because some great games like Orange Box, Arkham Origins, F.E.A.R. 1, Ridge Racer 6 (PAL) e.t.c. won’t be available on the future Xbox system(s) which will be a shame. T_T
I’d love to be able to buy an optional disc drive and have my OG/360 libraries available as well but I don’t have high hopes for that. Either way even if the program only supports the One/Series games it will be only be a good thing for all of us who have physical collections.
Also now that I think about it they could release this new program on the Series X consoles which would be awesome to have - especially for the folks that also have an Xbox compatible portable system.
