Goes to show that PC hardware will always be fastest.

Don’t say it here… Many will get pissed :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Not sure why is that? I don’t mean “PC master race” here.

Ohh. Then it’s fine

Seems the external drive is better than the internal soln basically cross the board.

There seems to be a system level limitation on ssd speed for ps5, even for ps5 games. Faster drivers are somewhat always better but only marginally so, and slower drivers are also having very little difference (even for significantly slower drivers at 3.XGB/s)

So is the PS5’s own SSD faster than anything you can hook up to it or is it worth getting a new one?

It’s slightly slower than some commercial off the shelf expansions, but it’s the only drive Sony guarantees will work 100% of the time. Everything else is use at your own risk with no level of testing put towards it. So with that said, I’d only expand the storage if you absolutely need it.

Truly doesn’t sound all that ideal really. And in terms of price, the one they guarantee will always work, how much is it? Because it’s starting to sound like MS went with the better option, especially once more brands will make SSD cards for Xbox eventually.

Doesn’t exist. They only guarantee the on-board soldered on flash chips.

Oh, wow. Ok.

PS5 is struggling hard with this title, I wonder why, it’s almost like they developed it with pc in mind and now they are downscaling it because of lack of features on that hardware.

Bound to happen when you dedicate CUs for audio when you already have low number of them. It’s a better design to have a separate SPU for audio. I don’t know what do you folks think?

Supposedly the 3D Audio is unrelated to the RT stability – something like the audio makes it difficult to hear your own car when using 3D Audio.
