I could listen to Rich describe anything and still be enraptured. The dream he had last night, the rules to snooker, why his favorite band is underrated, what people don’t know about battery repair.
Edit: I forgot to say that it was a neat video.

I don’t want to see too much from the game, still need to start my playthrough soon.
Impossible. Twitter and fanboys said it was a piece of junk designed to hold back gaming.
And what percentage of them have the Steam Deck on pre-order?

Hmm. Series S is using 5 memory chips instead of 4 to get the capacity, but the bandwidth is still limited by 4 channels for 8 Gb, and then 1 channel for the upper 2 Gb. I think they clamshell 2 of the 2GB chips together so it acts like a 4GB chip with a single channel.
On series X play the game at quality mode for best resolution and smooth frames. You only lose reflections in the water. Not much is lost.
Being a cinematic game, 30 FPS is also absolutely enjoyable with perks of Ray traced shadows and reflections.
120 fps mode is fine on VRR displays. But game doesn’t gain much as it’s very slow moving game anyway.
Very much appreciated!
You know, I can absolutely see Hellblade 2 being 30fps too, but also with additional options. If you want the best visual experience with probably raytracing too then you’ll get 30fps. I’d be ok with that.
I don’t know, the Series consoles are very powerful and all, so I’m expecting 4k120 with ray-tracing. Most importantly though, the quality of the game hinges entirely on how the watermelons react to sword slashes.

Pretty cool at 52:00 mark, they talk about how control on Xbox series x got fixed on its own, and Alex mentions how some developers mentioned performance boosts like with ray tracing and other areas. Looks like series x performance will just get better and better
I’ve yet to play the game , and I don’t have the upgrade for it, only the GP version. But what issues did XSX have again before it got fixed?
If I’m recalling it right, there were random drops with inconsistent frame pacing and the ps5 version ran smoother
Maybe the people who were stressing that the Xbox GDK was coming in a bit warm and how it would improve with time, so not to be stressed out at launch were onto something
.
As a total neophyte, I’m glad to hear that this is the case. When you have no frame of reference, it’s very difficult to know if what you’re reading on a platform-specific forum has a basis in reality or if it’s wishful thinking/prevarication. I’m still reserving judgment until it’s clear that that’s what’s happening, but it does seem to be bearing out to my untrained eyes ![]()
