Huh. I wonder how they’re going to justify ongoing support unless they have more “partner content” than the description initially suggests.
There are Horde Blitz (short rounds) Horde Siege (20’ish minute runs) and Horde Classic (10 rounds of point defense). I believe they all take place on the same maps/servers as each other, the main difference are the missions you are given. Classic is 10 waves of dending a point while the others have multiple mission types. So no true 50 round style classic all alone horde.

Some stuff that people may have missed:
Being able to customize your weapons by adding different sights and mods in Horde is a big thing. I’ve been waiting for this for so long!
There’s 2 new MP modes. They will add more well known modes after launch.
Bots are still there to play MP modes. I’ve always loved playing with bots since Gears of War 2!
Transitions between matches seems to be faster.
The controller layout is completely different from past games. Y to jump and X to get out of cover. LB it to get into cover, but I think you can remap most of it. Why major outlets are not talking about that ??
I love the new gnasher design. The small circular sight was always missing somehow and I think it makes the weapon now even more grounded. This is such a classic weapon that it shouldn’t be touched too much in my opinion. Gnasher is the main MP weapon so it needs to be visually appealing, more than any weapon.
Edit: A is still for moving in and out of cover by default.
