Apparently the Witcher 1 remake has been deprioritized. To focus on the 3 remasted/expansion & 4. It’s a shame considering Witcher 1 is so old and would be brand new to consoles. Anyway what surprised me the most is that CD is moving from their proprietary engine to UE5 and UE moving forward. That’s probably old news but I didn’t realize it till now. The whole industry is about to run on UE5 at this rate.

It’s because it’s the same studio making both Songs of the Past and The Witcher Remake, so I think it’s just prioritizing the content that is the closest to release.
They can take their time for The Witcher Remake to be honest, the game is so old, it needs reimagining both for the gameplay mechanics and systems.
