Hogwarts Legacy |OT|

I did not like Twitch format for Forza Horizon. Too much talk and gameplay splintered across multiple streams. Would rather prefer a single video covering everything.

Fair! Though I think a game like Starfield would likely have the long format, considering how in-depth some of its systems are sure to be.

At peak I think this State of Play had around 250k users at main stream.

And Godd Howard whispering his sweet lies :fire:

I don’t remember Microsoft/Xbox doing deep dives with FH5 outside of the 7 minutes at Xbox’s E3. A lot of Forza’s deep dives were by Playground themselves on their YouTube channel.

And that’s what he meant. Those Twitch streams were deep dives basically.

The official PlayStation YouTube channel has it listed at over 539k views. Doesn’t include IGN and other sites that also showed the SOP. HL is going to do insane numbers.

Multiple deepdives it is!
This format of showing and talking simultaneously is the right one, hope we get it for Starfield.

Just read the blog post and there is no mention of any timed exclusive dlc. I think Sony just secured marketing and a bundle for this game.

Oh then yeah I disagree. I much prefer seeing the platform holder do the events… it gets people who aren’t interested in the game to look at it. No one who doesn’t already care about Forza is going to go to Playground’s stream to watch deep dives. Hopefully Xbox does their own deep dives for Redfall, FM8, and Starfield. They would dominate marketing for second half of the year.

Good.

Ditto. Once Starfield drops I don’t want anything else to compete for my attention, so whether Hogwarts drops a week or two before or after Starfield, I still won’t get it until much later. Had it come out in late summer though… It most likely would’ve been a Day 1 for me.

Stoked about the potential it’s showing though.

True, the game is too big for time exclusivity. Plus it is WB and they have good relations with Microsoft.

If Hogwarts gets above an 80 it’s day 1 for me and if it’s below that I’ll either get it later or won’t pick it up (if it’s yellow).

It does look good but it also looks very gamey, I suppose they are trying to appeal to a younger base as well though. Don’t think it’s for me.

I imagine this’ll hinge on how polished the game is at launch. With what they’ve shown, it’s certainly ambitious enough to warrant good reviews. But whether it plays well and works without issues, that remains to be seen.

Very ambitious game from the Disney infinity folks

The game looks pretty, the seasons and weather look awesome, it has a lot of amazing systems in play, but idk… I think it actually looks pretty boring? Like it’s sweet that you can do all of that but the story wasn’t interesting and the combat wasn’t great. I’ll wait till they show more but for now I’m on wait for sale train. It seems like a life sim.

I think it looks really good. It’s gonna be a mainstream af game so I’m not expecting anything super special in game play, but as long as they nail the setting and fantasy It will be a huge success

If they nail the classes minigames and exploration I’m in.

Well, for me personally combat look fined - basically Batman-style combat using spells. I personally just liked the environment, it remains to be seen if they nail the plot and it won’t become just a theme park.
