I’m posting this, as I would have bought the game already if it was an FPS. I tried the beta last year and thought " yeah, it should be first person".

To me, first person wouldn’t work for Arc Raiders because it’s not a hardcore tactical extraction shooter like Tarkov for example. It being third person is basically what got me into the game in the first place because I didn’t care about extraction shooters (and still don’t outside of Arc) and I don’t want to deal with the hardcore tactical aspects of Tarkov and others.
It being third person along with it being realistic graphically and being post apocalyptic is what got me interested. Played the server slam to know for sure and yeah, I was hooked and have become addicted to this game. It being first person would have ended all of this long before the server slam ever happened.
Besides, aren’t all other extraction shooters first person? Are there any others that are in third person? If not, this is another reason why third person was the better decision because it already makes the game stand out as being setup differently instead of being just another first person extraction shooter.
