Well, that was out of nowhere. They said that they would talk about the game in the Spring which doesn’t start for another month and they just had a State of Play two weeks ago and Wolverine was confirmed to not be there. It really looks like Sony just wanted to get people to stop talking about Bluepoint Games being shut down.
It’s just so random.
Is there really much hype for this game? I mean what is this bringing to the table vs some random gritty kill sim? Wolverine’s healing even holds back the game aspect vs just some regular dude with sword or something. Hopefully they pull out a decent storyline and it isn’t just a bunch of gore.
That’s a fair point, I wonder if you can even due in this game? I would say yes, but it just makes me wonder if Logan could be killed in previous games. Going to go look it up.

Seriously, I’m sure the game will be solid, Insomniac makes well regarded games. But it’s riding some first party exclusive hype for sure. You can bet that this game will be handed a Keighley nomination that Blade or that Black Panther 1943 game or the EA Iron Man game would have had to actually earn.
Personally I like Wolverine more than Spider-Man, so I’m a bit more interested in checking this game out. But the trailers haven’t shown me anything that sets the game apart or really makes me want to play it right away.
Very cool. Always happy to have another X-Men game. Should be super fun.
