A lot of info on Yacht Clubs history, how they met, formed and the work that had gone into Shovel Knight and how the realities of Covid just hit them so hard that a game that was already growing bigger than normal and had development issues just ballooned even more.
Napkin math and talk about why games cost so much and why the people making those games deserve to be payed for their work.

I think that Shreier doing these videos even if for some it’s an obvious thing, is good because not everyone really pays attention to these sort of things.

Hopefully the what Jesse was saying about UE6 just being a UE5 rebrand for PR is true and we don’t have more friction thrown at game dev.
With Helix and PS6 close to launch, I hope that dev tools don’t change too much. Xbox mostly, but that was for the purpose of a PC environment I think.
It’s more talk on the effects of Xbox layoffs, in this one Shreier talls about the fact Obsidian had 5 projects they were working on. A long side Avowed 2 which seemed to be the furthest a long, at least 3 of those projects were cancelled.
Causing layoffs at co-dev studios, as losing those projects meant they couldn’t afford to keep employing those devs.

Edit: He’s doing it because the outrage merchants finally found out about it.
Same here. It’s a bit like a mosquito, the sound of them is just so insanely annoying. Can only stand to listen to a bit by the dude until it’s enough. And the stuff he pulled years ago with Fallout wasn’t exactly great either.

Yeah mate, he pretends to be impartial, but throws far more dirt at Microsoft than SONY & won’t dare have a pop at everyone’s beloved Nintendo. I’ve seen him get nasty too, when XBOX fans call him out , very much like John Linneman.
Even as unevenly his reporting can be, ignoring Jason because of your own bias isn’t helpful. Specially as during the current layoffs at Xbox, he has been the consistent source debunking rumors around them.

Its very unever & he trolls a lot on XBOX to get likes. That’s what I don’t like, he can also get very nasty when you question him on anything XBOX or Brexit
Nah I don’t ignore him. Well, I don’t watch videos and thus I don’t hear the IMO annoying voice. Those tweets definitely were helpful though. But he can be very unlikeable and easily blocks folks for shit that’s petty as hell.

He’s prickly AF, so yeah that’s understandable enough. But like you said, don’t ignore what he has to report.
He has had a couple of instance where he was wrong on a report, but his overall record makes a really good source of knowledge.

I only said something like why don’t you call out Nintendo for their prices on remasters like Zelda Wind Walker & he blocked me, when he was having a pop at XBOX prices

According to OhNoIt’sAlex, Jason knew all that stuff happening at ABK but didn’t report any of it so he could put it in his book that he sold instead.

TBH, I don’t have much of an issue with that you have to look after number one. I don’t like that he’s never balanced over XBOX & I don’t like how childish he can get when anyone dares to question his data.
