Gears And Forza never even sniffed selling more than 20% of their console base. The only Halo game to go above 25% was Halo 2.
Yet we all know how integral those franchises were in terms of selling consoles.
Exclusives still matter a lot, just maybe not as much as they used to.

If exclusives are what drives casuals, how come Sonyâs exclusives arenât what dominates the best selling titles on PS4 in 2021? There were a grand total of 0 exclusives in the top 10 PS4 games for 2021 in the US as per NPD. If you had actually thought out your position thoroughly, you should be able to explain that result.
