And this is how Microsoft will fall behind again in market share. Many have to realize many usually just buy 1 console a generation, and losing out on early adopters is what’s going to make this a very steep uphill climb for Microsoft because at the moment Sony seems to have all bases covered

MS bought Bethesda cause Zenimax wanted to sell thats it.
MS bought Zenimax because they wanted to give gamers a reason to sub to Game Pass.

Because of some Japanese games like final fantasy 16 that look to be the worst entry in the franchise while Xbox has literally twice the number of exclusives? I don’t get that thinking tbh.
We dont gotta diminish that FF is a massive worldwide franchise and will sell millions and move consoles.

The worst? you realize how beloved FF14 is, and aware that FF16 is being made by one of the FF14 teams yes?
We can be frustrated about this situation and not type up bullshit like this. Final Fantasy remains a huge franchise, and Sony would not have moneyhatted it if it were not a franchise that was going to move units for them.
Sony will sell millions of PS5s off the back of it’s brand association with FF. That’s reality.

I’m not, it just looks like garbage. I’m a massive final fantasy fan, you won’t find a bigger one. They’ve gotten progressively worse though and this looks like the worst entry. It look so unimaginative and uninspiring.

I don’t think there is any funding on Sony’s side for games like Final Fantasy; it’s purely an exchange of money to make sure the game isn’t released on platforms other than Playstation. Square has plenty of cash on hand to make their games available on all platforms and games like FF are easily profitable even on MS consoles.
eh, Final Fantasy series is a big deal and heck even XV sold over 1million physical copies on Xbox, so it is a big loss to not get these games
This does suck, if this game doesn’t end up coming to Xbox I guess I’ll just get it on PC.
Hope it is timed though but we’ll see I guess. If Sony are actually funding this then fair play to them, though I find it weird they would rather lay off most of Japan Studio than having them work on it.

All Sony are doing it attempting to delay these games coming to gamepass. They know once 25m get a free copy of a game those games stop selling Playstations. Literally wasting their money.
All Sony is doing is making sure people buy their console to play these games and it works.
You make them come and play stuff only available on their console and the chances increase that they stay and continue buying on it. Same thing xbox is doing with game pass.
