Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version on Nintendo Switch

Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green, the first titles in the Pokémon series, were originally released in Japan on Tuesday, February 27, 1996. This is an important day marking the start of the Pokémon brand, which was born from these two video games! This day has been celebrated as Pokémon Day by fans as well.

Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version, remakes of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green, will release on Nintendo Switch as download-exclusive titles. This software will be available to play after the conclusion of the Pokémon Presents presentation that is scheduled to begin on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 6:00 a.m. PST.

As I have said brfore it’s actaully good, as making games NSO only can become an issue.

As a respond by @Shadowgasm said though

Nice release, although I do find it quite expensive to be honest, and bit of a bummer that it doesn’t have online play, but a nice release nonetheless.

Wonder if this means more releases outside of NSO or only an exception because it’s Pokemon.
