The Steam stuff and such, you mean?
Probably. Highlighting play PC games should elaborate on what that means.
The 2027 launch seems pretty locked in. They wouldnât be so aggressively teasing it otherwise. Xbox also didnât do a Series X pro, so theyâre probably aware that 7 years of just the Series S and X is a long time (I mean heck, thatâs probably impacted the fall off in year over year sales more than sharing exclusives). The current consoles can definitely hold on a long time, but new hardware brings with it a certain energy that both Xbox and the community needs. Helix especially should tie everything (all their plans) together in a more cohesive way.
Oh I am very ready for new hardware when I look at several games lately such as Dying Light The Beast, Borderlands 4, High on Life 2 and so on. Especially image quality wise, I really dislike the fuzzy image in HoL 2, and absolutely would have loved a optional 40fps mode or even 30fps, same with Borderlands 4, I just canât with the visual sacrifices in performance mode and thus I go with resolution mode at 30fps. Same story with DL The Beast, itâs a huge visual difference between the two modes.
I realize that with consoles youâll always be having this, but hopefully with the new one it wonât be as quick.
It would be very nice to get some details on Steam, EGS and so on, but that doesnât seem to be very relevant for devs. But letâs see what additional info we get.
Got more to share down the road as well as some goodies for this yearâs anniversary. This is going to be a fun year.
Better marketing name.
Let me play Ridge Racer 6 natively in Xbox mode on my current PC and Iâll be a happy man!
The advanced shader for Ally X will be displayed tomorrow.
Fuck!
I guess the dream for late 2027 release is dead. Ideally early 2028 then, more likely late 2028. Goddamn it.
Series Dev Kit was released in the same year of the release console 2020. Not to mention, pandemic slowed down many, many game developments. The console release is uncertain.
Yeah, guess weâll just have to wait and see. I also saw this.
âPlayers should be able to play these games and more across devices, whether through purchases, subscriptions like Xbox Game Pass, or from other leading storefrontsâ
That the first time they mention other storefronts? Itâs obvious what this means but they just donât specifically mention them yet.
Keep in mind, this show is made for devs, so anything we consumer want to know like what feature and storefront will it have will have to wait for later date.
What they are presenting now is the developer platform and the transition to it. Storefronts and apps should be something for later, though we pretty much know thatâs the plan, but in detail and how it will work should later, in the marketing cycle
No?
