My, surely the media will hear news of this and share that they were wrong to make their inflamatory comments that could be destroyed by any gamer with more brain cells than them right?

Kind of yes. Not that Xbox isnt full speed ahead on hardware (whatever form that takes), we knew that already. They literally announced it.
But as far as MLID, yes. The guy is a pathetic hack. He gets some leaked info but doesnt know what he is looking at and just starts making shit up. Then when he gets proven wrong, he goes back and deletes the videos where he was wrong. The guy sucks ass and shouldnt be used as a source for anything.

It’s alright. As others have said, he can get info that is correct but then have no idea what it is. It’s the interpretation of the info that is bad.
But this further shows how the rage-bait cycle goes, swinging from extremes and anything for engagement.
It’s still fun to speculate in the end I think.
I just can’t get over how stupid of a timeline we are in. I legitimately cannot fathom why the complete bullshit that was “Xbox hardware is no more” even got beyond the worst forums… we literally just had two multi billion dollar companies announce a multi-year roadmap. You don’t spend literal billions on that roadmap to only abandon it, for no logical reason whatsoever, a month later.
The entire reason I’ve been absent from the discourse is because it should have been killed by everyone in the media with a brain (clearly that low bar is already too high), and in spite of everything else I have going on, I just had to comment on how absolutely stupid everyone running around with the baseless rumor is 
What is the famous quote: the wrong info corrected later with the right info makes 2 news. Some have to feed the news cycle I guess, even if it’s bullshit.
That’s the big thing. I wish all these “Journalists-but-not” sites and especially influencers would publicly admit they were wrong, that they spread misinformation, and learn not to use those sources again.
The funniest one to me is that I’ll listen to the Xbox Two Podcast sometimes and Jez Corden will literally say that anything he says on the podcast is either not fact checked and just his opinion or literally just him talking out his ass and having fun speculating (he says anything he’s confident about will be a windows central article), and these websites will STILL quote him from the podcast 
. They just do not care. It’s beyond unprofessional and I wish it didn’t work as well as it does.
This is the twilight zone. Rumors and lies are what makes people giddy these days.
Plus they spread so fast now between AI bots and Ai slop articles and social media and everything. There’s a whole lot of noise and heck, people aren’t stupid. They realize the industry and especially console market is rapidly changing and people are scared. Humans naturally don’t like change and there’s been few “good” changes recently. Unfortunately when things get scary it’s easier for people to latch onto blaming a scapegoat or finding something to make it into a tribal “us vs them”. Xbox is that scapegoat for so many people in the industry. Xbox is the newest platform and doesn’t have the built up protective status of others. Plus people just don’t want to admit how these changes are wider issues that are affecting their favorite platforms in addition to Xbox. It all funnels together with an algorithm that feeds on negativity, and clicks, and rage baiting, and everything. I just wish it’d all go away. The world needs better spirits of humanity. Heck, we as consumers and gamers need to be a more united front if anything is going to improve.
I expect Next gen external design will be similar to the Series X. simple and elegant
I truly think it was the folks who heard something being too challenged to understand the context. It very well could be what they heard was “Microsoft is selling Xbox to Asus” when the reality is “Microsoft is selling Xbox [hardware] to Asus” and anyone else who wants to make Xbox-branded hardware using the XBox SOC/APU..
As long as they’re whisper quiet while being really powerful once again, I’ll be happy.
