Feels like this is one of those easy wins for “insiders” - given the release elsewhere, it seems possible the exclusivity deal is over so by claiming this, he gets a lot of kudos and furthers his reputation as an “insider” if it does release everywhere at once.
And if it doesn’t, he just claims Sony was worried enough by the backlash / wanted more games to lock users in before the PS6 so paid for further exclusivity.
I bet if you created 10 profiles online and took different positions on gaming news (particularly 50/50 stuff like this) after about 5 guesses at least one of the profiles would have been right for all of them and be seen as a true insider where you could start to monetise it / reveal yourself and appear on shows…

(Yes you may have guessed I pretty much hate most insiders, they ruin surprises and often just feed console wars)
The way the director addressed it, it definitely sounds like the case. Otherwise, PS exclusivity at start would be pretty questionable. It would be as awkward as Cody telling Roman that he wants his title but not at grandest stage of all.
It is, but I do think Natethehate knows enough that we can at least pay attention if it will happen. Instead of ignoring it as completely baseless(which sucks, because companies want to do the surprising).
