Great review Jesse! I am on my second playthrough of Silent Hill f but the next game I’ll play is definitely this one! Bloober also did a great job (again!) on the Series versions which is great news too!
It’s really awesome to see Silent Hill making one hell of a comeback with SH2R and f after years of disappointing/mediocre releases. The IP deserved better and for the first time in quite some time the future looks very promising!

This game is an absolute masterpiece. I must be close to finishing it and it feels so crazy to me that this game released in 2001. It’s really the best the medium can offer.
Playing through it is a chore and kind of depressing with its dark, heavy and ugly atmosphere, but it just drags you along and you just can’t stop playing. Not many games makes me feel like that really. It’s an absolute nightmare, but the remake looks so good and plays so well, it’s amazing.
I get now how The Medium was kind of a love letter and a pitch for Bloober to get to do the remake. And they’ve nailed it.
