Timing of mine with South Park is getting out of hand. Why? The episode they gave was about moving on and go with the flow. This is one of them. I preferred physical, but I get the reality. If I want to quit the hobby, I would, but I very much still into it. So this is the way it is now.

Sheesh, Twitter is a disaster with reactions to this news. One even suggests that they should get hacked again for a lesson. Good lordā¦
Time to see if all those people who said theyād give up gaming when it became all-digital are going to stick to their promise.
Theyāll always find excuses
Well, if you enter big electronic and games stores here you could be fooled because thereās barely any physical Xbox games left. But thatās just here. Itās definitely surprising that Sony went first.
The Resetera thread is a WALL of people saying they will never buy a PlayStation game or console again. I donāt believe them.
I do wonder if it means physical presence in stores will also be reduced
It will literally be just Nintendo games. Xbox sections are already gone from most stores.
I wonder what this means for physical movies since Sony is a big producer for those too
Probably tell people to buy a blueray player.
If PS6 will be digital only, MS could use this and make a console with a disc drive and make sure all of their games have a physical copy, Im sure this will bring millions of people to Xbox.
Xbox out there, gonna play 4D Chess
Iām very much hoping for this, although realistically the next Xbox will probably be purely digital as well.
I just want to be able to keep playing my existing disc library.
Windows Central is already saying no disc drive for Helix.

Thatās what we all assumed anyway, would have been a nice gesture though, even if only an external one for those that want it.
Iām sure thatās correct, but Iām going to hold out hope until we know officially. ![]()
Was 100% expecting Helix and PS6 to be all digital but I was NOT expecting Sony (or Microsoft for that matter) to announce this until they officially reveal PS6/Helix in 2027 or 2028.
Iām not surprised in general though. Both companies have wanted to eliminate physical since the PS4/Xbox One generation. It was just a matter of time. Funny thing is that Microsoft was correct in regards to all digital and always online since thatās what gaming is now and will continue to be. They were just about a decade too early.
As someone whoās already leaning towards building a high end PC in 2030 after this generation runs itās course for me personally, I was already all digital and once the few GameStop stores shut down in my area back in January, I was 100% all digital so this doesnāt change anything for me.
Definitely sucks for those who are still clinging to the past and physical games.
They couldāve had a real easy one up on Sony here. But I guess not.
Doesnāt matter for me personally at all, ever since Xbox One Iāve been pretty much all digital.
Nevermind the next paragraph. The point is the first line. If Xbox said it, itās like āYeah, expected.ā Why else Japan and EU physical sales are low in compare to physical. With PS, itās like they backstabbed you and twist it. In short, fans believed they were the chosen one. By 2030, gaming aisle will be nearly all red for Nintendo unless they too join in. Only matter of time.
