I literally took a nap and out of nowhere not just an announcement but a whole Direct based on it. The hell was that about? Anyway, cool.

Did they want to sabotage the Xbox stream or something? Sheesh.

Possibly sabotaging Nate the Hate, who predicted a Starfox Direct for last month.

Ah yes, forgot about that already.

Star Fox preorder is up on US eShop ($49.99 digitally, should be $59.99 physical) https://t.co/YXFLnNvf8o

Starfox is a 3 hour campaign, surprised it’s $50 even with the MP mode and Challenge Missions.

I thought it’s more like an hour.

I think Nintendo left DLSS on by mistake.

I mean, back in the day here in Canada it was a 100$ cartridge, although the original release did come with the Rumble Pack.

it looks really well made and it’s got replay value if you go for all of the medals which requires doing several routes. Someone who hasn’t stopped playing the N64 version and knows the game by heart could probably pull it off in 3 hours, that I do agree with you.

I owned the N64 original and 3DS remake, I’ll probably go for this one as well. It’s probably my most played and yet still my favourite out of all the released Star Fox games although I do miss the Namco developed GameCube Star Fox game but the on land missions kinda sucked in that one.

Maybe this can help gauge interest in a proper sequel?

I just found it very strange that recent movie design is right in their face and I know the production has been going for a while so they should know that design works best in compare. Instead, they saw DLSS5 presentation and said, “That’s why our is going to look amazing.”

So 3 hours of Star Fox talk from Nick this Weekend and 2 hours of Star Fox Amiibo talk from him too…I ashoom

Yeah, he was in the chat already talking about it on the Stranger Than Heaven stream. John and Jessie will be on mute the whole show. :joy:

So?

The game is wonderful & the remake looks stunning. I gladly paid full price for it on the N64 in the 90’s and did the same for the Panzer games & would pay full price for it now & so wished SEGA would remake the Panzer games

People miss the point of On-rail shooters if they just focus on the length, I feel

This is my hope too. Would love to see a AAA On-Rail Star Fox sequel shooter from Nintendo themselves, no outsourcing to Namco or Platinum games

45 minutes if you know it well! But I used to play it over and over again. Easily my favorite N64 game.

If you want all the medals you don’t have a choice. There’s also all the special warps you can do in some stages as well. And then if you unlock everything you’ve got expert mode. And you have the 2 endings depending on the path you take.

if you only do 1 path then of course it’s probably like one of the shortest games ever lol

It seems like Nintendo is out of ideas. I likened Star fox to Star Wars, but it has clearly fallen off. They’ve been on the same game for decades. They might as well ask Capcom for help. The only thing that I enjoyed was the ending with Fox McCloud’s dad. I would say I was quite surprised to see so many disappointments with the showing from the art to it’s another remake.
