I agree the risks are only increasing for AAA development and if you don’t have enough games coming out, a flop can be fatal. It’s also partly why you see more publishers shift to GaaS, as it allows you to build off an existing game and get recurring revenue.
Talk to a Nintendo Fan about the next Pikmin, Metroid Prime 4, Bayonetta 3 or Breath of the Wild 2.
Duck and cover.
Starfield. March 2023.
Redfall June 2023.
They did a Pro Xbox move with the Metroid Prime 4 announcement as well. Didn’t we get gameplay from Horizon FW before the delay? Same for Ragnarok if it gets delayed…
Your most reasonable post yet
Do we think RedFall will maybe have a beta months prior ?
I got a lot of disrespect when I first stated my predictions in terms of release dates. Hence the gloating now that its all coming true.
tbh, most games don’t take 5 or 6 years to make, even for AAA titles.
Wouldn’t surprise
Those where the Matty’s, the Skullzi’s and Tubers like that. I remember it too. Saying they heard from their sources that the game was in polishing phase, deep dive guaranteed for E3 2021,and we gullible folks ate it all up. ![]()
I mean Matty is good peoples and has good stuff too but that was just not good at all.
Covid messed everything up across the industry. Huge setbacks everywhere
Yep. Movies too. New spider verse moved into 2023 recently.
Basically five months after the initial release date. Truly hope that can be enough, March sounds like a great month to me.
Indiana Jones is still 2027, and oh boy will I gloat for that lol.
You literally cannot buy back lost time.
What do you think will we see this year?
But why though? 2027 sounds so random. Game has been in development for a year now I think? MG have a great track record too.
Going by Starfield’s original release date and the general one now, it wouldn’t surprise me if both games got a 6 month delay for polishing. So yeah, it wouldn’t surprise me too much if Redfall is now out in say March and Starfield in May.
Does Todd Howard count as an insider? ![]()
It’s about time Forza got its dues as a main franchise, instead of support.
