2021 was a pretty great year, 202 was good as well, we’ll see how 2022 goes. But they’ve put 80+ billion into acquisitions to have constant content moving forward so I’m not worried about it.

I’m not too worried either, Covid has clearly played a large part in this, and when the floodgates open, it will be crazy. But I do get why it can be tiring to hear that phrase after a while.

Society as a whole is tired of hearing about Covid, but it’s still here, will remain to be here, and is just as damaging to the world as ever.

Part of the issue is Microsoft is still making timed exclusives for their competitor due to prior contractual obligations.

… two brand new IP, new blood that Xbox players have been waiting for, for a long time. And from there on into 2023 we’d see Avowed, maybe Fable, but right now it’s all up in the air. He does get a bit doom and gloomy with kind of questioning the future of Xbox, and he acknowledges that too, says he’s barely ever like that but that’s how he feels now. I can definitely see where he’s coming from. And yes we all know about covid and everything else, still doesn’t mean it isn’t very unfortunate. This “new” Xbox with huge new IP and promise has seen a delay, sadly. Just hope we WILL get to a point where we can have at least two or three big release in a year. Really liked the sound of their plans for having a game every quarter or so but we are not there yet by any means. Yet more waiting really.

Awful take - It is as if he is insinuating that Bethesda has been mismanaged under Xbox which is absolutely false. As part of an existing contract, they released two games for a rival platform. It’s not like they have been sitting idly. Just like any other publisher, they were affected by COVID too.
