Hoping for a good showcase but more than anything, no more Fall 2026 releases!!! I have too many as it is. lol

Doesn’t Geoff usually hype this stuff up like there’s no tomorrow? Personally I haven’t seen much hyping by him this time around. That could be a good thing too, because often with his hype tweets the show turned out to be underwhelming.

True, especially on the possibility of two big games showing up here. Granted, we will still get him pulling Highguard hype before the showing, but it is what it is. I think it will be a good show. Last year wasn’t bad either, though previous year before it was better. In any case, this should be good.

I think he’s realized that the wave he was riding after the death of E3 has already crested and is in a trough right now. It’s not a bad move if he can deliver tonight. Maybe keep that same tight lip energy next year too until he hits another crest. Dewrito Pope is playing the long game (as he should).

I really hope somehow E3 comes back. Geoff as the face of the gaming industry is just sad. E3 in the late 90’s and early 2000 was just magic. Just developers and press. Back then it felt like video games was going to take over the world. Everything was positive looking because social media was really not a thing yet. I remember talking with Warren Spector as he demoed Deus Ex and all of us thinking how the heck did they do that. It just felt like a combination of trade show and a festival. The media coverage was just incredible, mtv, cnn, and all the major outlets. It was funny watching them run around trying to figure out what was going on. Now we have Geoff and youtube.

Not sure if it will be today or Sunday, but Nintendo screwed up for one game release date.

The platform holder shows were good fun (with their cringe moments and all) but what I liked the most were the live developer interviews/demos after the shows for all the new and upcoming games, I remember tuning in at gamespot to watch those at the middle of the night. There was excitement back then for sure…now it’s all about the grifters, the toxicity and misery of twitter. Oh well at least we were lucky to experience those days, too bad they’re probably never coming back.

How long is this suppose to be exactly? I think I have tune in and out of every show Keighly has put on.

2 hours I think.

I still haven’t decided if I am going to watch this or just play some videogames. lol

I believe he said it’s 2 hours, like previous year. I wonder if he will Highguard a title today.

I will probably watch it a long with DayOne if they stream it.

They are with full cast I believe.

Thanks!

At least Xbox keeps their E3 mood.

Was watching Max’s stream as I wait to join the DayOne stream and he put on a commercial/short for FF7 remake that aired only in Japan. It was long as hell and it was an entire story.

Xbox keeps the whole E3 spirit. Sentiments after Keighley’s shows always seem mixed if not just dour. Playstation just doesn’t do real showcases anymore and Nintendo drops exciting information whenever. Summer doesn’t feel like any more an exciting time for them. They can do a random direct whenever and make their fans happy.
