Take-Two CEO Addresses GTA 6 Release Date Again

When will Grand Theft Auto 6 come out? This question is the one being asked by gamers, fans, and even other developers and publishers. November 19 is supposed to be the date, and Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has given an updated comment on it.

I think it’s a case of until GTA 6 is finally out, everyone will be on tenterhooks until the very last second.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently spoke at iicon in Las Vegas. Here, he made an interesting comment about a long-awaited L.A. Noire return.

But it’s his jokey line on GTA 6 (via IGN) that has grabbed headlines: “[I] think a lot of people will be calling in sick on November 19.”

Would Zelnick really say something like this if he thought for one second the GTA 6 release date was in danger? It would be a terrible look for Take-Two and Rockstar Games if they announced another delay now.

Wait, I care a lot more about the teased return of L.A. Noire. I have zero interest in GTA, but a new L.A. Noire game (or a spiritual successor with the same facial motion capture for interrogations) would be amazing.

Same here, I finished GTA4 back at launch (wasn’t the biggest fan) and then tried out GTA5 on the 360 but I couldn’t stand how the game played and disliked the tone of the game so I decided that the series is not for me…I’d love to see a new L.A. Noire game though. It was a pretty cool game IMO.

That being said I hope the game releases this year for the fans that are waiting so long, also curious to see how much it will positively affect the console sales. It’ll be interesting to see if Asha will push the Series consoles more this year, if anything this is the best opportunity to sell some hardware (if Xbox is even interested in that).
