It was the inevitable future, but it’s nice to know PC releases will becoming. Especially once the Playstation PC store launches. I will never have to buy another Playstation again. Xbox with console and pc play anywhere is amazing.
Working on SO when you have Spiderman is like working on MoH when you have CoD
As for Resistance, I never had much expectations on it coming back, although Sony need something that isn’t the usual third person cinematic shtick from these studios
I saw some leaked footage of gameplay. Looked early, its a 2025 game
But what caught my eye was some stealth stuff. Why is Wolverine stealthy? Does anybody want that in a Wolverine game? Was this also part of the 2009 game?
Insomniac were aquired in 2019. Iirc Sunset Overdrive was cancelled in 2016 because nobody wanted to fund a second game.
Those ransomware people are the lowest of low. In the UK a hospital was hit with ransomware that brought down their entire network. Cancer patients had to be moved to different hospitals because life preserving equipment was not working. There are corners of the internet that seem to make hero’s out of these ransomware people and that is just scummy.
Man, people are showing their true fanboy colors with these Insomniac leaks. People already crucifying Tom Warren for a harmless tweet and fanboys are in a borderline denial stage about their shattered reality right now. How the tables have turned .
First it was fanboys questioning the profitability of gamepass or Xbox as a whole and that how it was unsustainable, but then reality hits back and showed that PlayStation’s entire first party model of over budget/low margin “premium” games is the unsustainable strategy. Say what you want about Xbox and its shortcomings, but it has a higher chance of weathering all these rising cost crisis just simply because MS has more money.
I thought Tom’s joke was kind of mean. I dunno, just kind of comes off like kicking Insomniac while they’re down. If it was me I would have thought twice about saying that.
It is hard to discuss in all coldness about it. The wording essence of the joke was clever. But, in some heated times, you need to refrain to be clever.
I bet the combat plays just like Spidey’s Arkham-cloned model too, and on top of everything else I’ve seen with these stealth sections, it’s clear they’re not going to be innovating from the gameplay front. No surprise, it’s all about reskinning the same model as much as possible for Sony and their devs these days; their obsession with graphics over everything else, clearly isn’t panning out well.
2026, but also yes he is often stealthy. He’s a hunter/ tracker, which earns stealth. He’s also a
quasi ninja, and part of elite tasks forces which operate covertly, or openly as a Spy. Wolverine has basically done everything imaginable.
Its funny how for YEARS Sony fans said gamepass would cause MS to force devs into GAAS games at the expense of SP games. It made no sense since gamepass negates the need for every game to be GAAS since the service itself has a monetary model in it.
But it was Sony without a real gamepass competing service that forced its dev to do GAAS at the expense of Single Player games.
Nearly everything Sony fans present as some evil slippery slope thing Sony ends up just directly doing it themself.
Ok, thanks for answering. I’m not really informed about comic stuff.
The scary stuff is: we only know about the discussed layoffs at Insomniac. But normally corporate world works by sending these demands to every department.
Imaging working at a Sony studio and reading this. You now know your boss also got a email demanding job cuts. Right before Christmas.
