WARNING: It is scary, so watch at your own discretion. There’s no jumpscares but it’s made as a kind of “Found Footage” video like “The Blair Witch Project”.
I don’t want to spoil the video, so I won’t go into details. If that’s your first time seeing this, I recommend watching all the videos in one go or, at the very least, the last one.
I discovered this video series randomly and I was kind of obsessed with it for a bit. This is so well done and there’s so much to say about how it’s been done and what it all means.
There’s more than meet the eye, to say the least. There’s a lot of analysis videos you can find on youtube, if you want to dig deeper, and it’s insane how much passion this guy poured into this project. It’s absolutely bonkers. The guy was only 18 when he made this 2 years ago!
At first, watching on my phone, I thought it was filmed with a camera and then he added 3D effects, but no, it’s all in 3D (made in Blender). If you’re paying attention you can see the low poly assets, but all the effects he used to hide the 3D models and textures is impressive. There’s some stuff that is filmed indeed, in some of the videos, but the whole exploration of the mall is all in 3D.
