The happy medium literally is yes xbox gets AA, Indies and the backlogged AAA games and thats GOOD in its own right while some of us think the next step in light of periods where xbox first party is largely absent (like now) deals could and should be made to secure a big third party game in the subscription service we all pay money for. If Game Pass wants to continue growing and bringing in new people I think the next logical step to do is breaking bank for a BIG EYE CATCHING game and slamming it into the service. Simple and its not the co-op day 1 games that are classic template games like Outriders or stuff with 0 hype like Extraction. Thats it.
Thats the argument we have been making for a month here and people keep equating it to → game pass doesnt add new games & xbox has nothing for 6 months.

The thread is about MS getting games in GP to help with the gap, they just added Hitman 1, 2 and 3 so they are doing that, obviously this isn’t going to be the only thing they add.
Me in this thread now, because I can’t find anything even remotely toxic, sorry. I’m also still waiting for the examples of people that complained about new Game Pass additions but they already own them. Just as the toxic shit, I’m not seeing that either.

I’ll ask it again - is anyone in this thread seriously considering cancelling their sub and do we believe Xbox is done with gp announcements for the first half of the year? I mean last year outriders and mlb came out of nowhere. We are getting a nice Tom Clancy content day 1 which is super popular.
This thread is just toxic whining.

I mean that’s kinda obvious ? Gamepass has been doing that since it started. It’s not like anyone here thought they wouldn’t add any games for the next 6 months.
I thought this was largely about 2022 games.

And yes, I would love for a large AAA title to end up on Game Pass in the 1st half of the year. My “false premise” point was about the “drought being real” when we are only 13 days into the actual year. The “drought” can’t be real until it’s actually occurred. If you said “we could see a potential drought of big AAA titles in game pass” that I think is fair.

I’m not cancelling the sub, but I can question MS plans about it, come on man.
I don’t know, I just don’t look at this the same way. Game Pass is already exceedingly cheap for what is currently offered/added. It isn’t intended, at least as far as I can tell, as some sort of be all end all replacement for your game library.
If there is a big third-party game that I want to play on Day 1, I open up my wallet and pay for it. I’m also not going to lament not knowing everything that is coming to game pass in the next six months when we are only two weeks into the first month of the year and they have already added like 20 games this month. Seems a bit premature.
