Yeah, I don’t want to lead the discussion in any direction outside of civil and in good faith. The premise for this forum was “A place where people will not get attacked for being excited about the Xbox platform and gaming in general” because we know it’s not like that in other places.

Nothing wrong at all with wanting them to do even better, strive for even more greatness. And let’s not forget the competition isn’t sitting still either. We want our console/company of choice to be the best it can be.
I really don’t understand the negativity of some here, it’s not necessary at all.

The title of this thread is terrible/toxic and I haven’t seen much quality posting from the folks defending this thread. It’s basically “I want more” with some vague “they need to grow Gamepass” comments thrown in.

My hope is that everyone understand that most of us here are pretty hardcore Xbox fans, we love the platform, the games and it’s what we enjoy. With that as an established baseline, discussions can be held about things we don’t like or agree with without the constant assumptions that we are acting in bad faith.
It is just normal discussions about the things we spend a lot of time and money on, mostly positive things and excitement. But sometimes negative things too, and that is ok. It doesn’t have to be so polarized (either you are a cheerleader or a negative troll) but rather a nuanced discussion based on a shared interest.

Six AAA games in one month, it’s pretty damn sweet. Imagine if you never bought the ME remasters, which I didn’t and also the Hitman trilogy. I mean last year with the Bethesda drop was pretty nuts but also I guess kinda expected with them having acquired them, still amazing though. The value right here is just crazy.

Jav clearly created the thread to centralize people’s issues with gamepass and avoid it spilling elsewhere… nothing wrong with that, in all honesty it benefits the forum… just because individuals disagree with your view doesn’t mean the thread is toxic.

That is their plan but it’s clearly taking a while, understandable with all these games still fully in development. Ideally they acquire a few more studios so they can have a nice balance of smaller titles by XGS and also bigger ones that need a lot more time in the oven.

A COD game will never hit the service due to Playstation marketing the game. There’s a reason why COD games end up on PS+ and never hit gold or gamepass

Yeah, so it seems MS and Activision are more and more distant after the allegations thing. It’s good from a moral pov, I’m not sure business wise, COD marketing is a major point of PS dominance. It doesn’t help that since MS went for BF marketing…BF sucks big time, lol.
I feel the tricky thing is balancing day ones and stuff that came out 6-12 months ago. I think everybody likes the new shiny toy and that’s what day one games provide. I think what day one provides a great deal of FOMO because games are usually at it’s peak during launch month, and I think many want to feel that with third party gamepass games.
Anyways, I do feel to make noise for the service it would be cool to get a day one game that might not do well on xbox like king of fighters or Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. I think one of those games will send message that xbox is making an attempt to make Japanese game situation better
