Still playing Kiwami 2 and just did this gem of a side quest.

I’m juggling three games at once now which is a bit unusual for me. But they are played in different ways; I’m digging in Donkey Kong Bananza on the Switch 2, playing a Hidden Cats game whilst listening to podcasts and fired up Far Cry New Dawn as my main game.

I’m back in Lordran! Now I juat need to find some clothes/armor.

Just remembered we have clothes

New hat Also total global death count by platform was such a good community feature

One boss down!

I honestly remember way more of this game than I should.

That’s 2 more bosses and calling it for now. DS2’s life gem are a pretty good qol mechanic, as it gives us more room for error as were learning a boss fight or area.

It has occurred to me that I was so eager to return to Dark Souls 2 I neglected the fact that Return to Lordran is a DS1 event.

Anyways, now I’m actually back.

It’s been a smooth return, minus playing the wrong game. Not shown is me still having Kiwami 2 in the brain and back stepping off the bell tower.

Progress has been made and I’m on my way to the tomb, wish me luck as I’m trying to become a Giant Dad!

Well, I failed in becoming a dad, so I’ll be a Moss Mom instead!

Moss Mom is ready for Sen’s Fortress and beyond

Not doing any DLC, so I’m pretty much at the later part of the game, now making my way to Ornstein and Smoug

Decided to do some Jolly Cooperation for O&S, brought our buddy Solaire and a Havel cosplayer! Now Only 5 to 6 bosses away from my return to Lordran.

Current character is Leon.

Completed Keeper. While I enjoyed the whole game, the last two acts are kind of incredible.

Started Lunar Silver Star Story (Lunar Remastered Collection) 2 days ago. Damn it’s good, it holds up one of the best I’ve seen for a 30+ year old game.

My return to Lordran has been a great success, and with a 9 hours and 35 minutes run, no DLC, it was fun to return the DS1. Returning to Kiwami 2!

Checked out some screenshots from the Xbox store and it looks amazing indeed! never played a Lunar game so I added the collection to my wishlist.

Your screenshots almost made me start a new playthrough of DS1 or DS2! I love both games so much and they are still my most replayed Fromsoft games. I may have to put a new DS2 with all the expansions playthrough in my schedule this year.

Back on topic I am playing Indy’s The Order of Giants which is really fun so far, I am currently at the gladiator puzzle. Felt great to return to this game, such an amazing achievement from MachineGames - definitely one of the GOAT action/adventure games ever!

That’s good to hear, I bought the game and DLC in the xmas sale and will dive into it soon!

Atm I’m playing Donkey Kong Bananza and Far Cry New Dawn, an interesting combo lol.

I hope you like it. It was originally a Sega CD game I believe. The remastered collection has some quality of life upgrades like you can increase the battle speed. If you like the first 6 Final Fantasy games I think you would like this. And yes I would recommend getting it on sale. The developer went on to make Grandia which is another good jrpg

The expansion so far has some really cool puzzles and I’d say that they are more challenging than the main game’s puzzles, lots of tomb raiding (huh!) too so if you’re into that I think you will have fun with it.

Looks really good for a Sega CD game for sure, I will definitely check it out. I also have the Grandia Collection on my wishlist! planning to play at least two JRPGs this year as last year I didn’t play anything from the genre and I’d like to check out some older series/games.

Oh that sounds nice! Is it set after the main game or can you play it during the main playthrough?

Finally reached the most important part of Yakuza Kiwami 2: The Hostess Club mini game! It’s great to see Yuki back.

I’m playing through Triangle Strategy and really enjoying it so far. It’s been a while since I last played a strategy jrpg like this.

Square was smoking crack when they made this achievement list though. The game has 100 achievements and every achievement is worth 9 gamer score except the one achievement worth 1 point. It also requires 4 to 5 playthroughs to get them all so idk if I’ll 100%. Maybe I’ll do each playthrough in between other games I’m playing.

Been a few months since I have posted in this topic, mainly due to playing Arc Raiders for all of November and December. Anyway, a few game completions that I didn’t post. First up is Metal Eden which was the game my last post was about. Completely forgot to post about it.

Visually, the game looked great and I loved the look of the game. It’s sci-fi/techno/cyberpunkish all rolled into one. Good soundtrack and sound effects. Solid voice acting. Story and characters was solid and enjoyable. Gameplay and combat was really good. Very fast paced and frenetic. Overall, I really enjoyed the game. Metal Eden was developed by Reikon Games which previously developed Ruiner (which I loved) and thus far, they’re 2 for 2 for me.

  • Visuals - 8.5/10 (great)
  • Audio - 8.5/10 (great)
  • Gameplay/Combat - 8.0/10 (great)
  • Story/Characters - 7.0/10 (good)
  • Overall - 8.0/10 (great)

Completed the Battlefield 6 campaign earlier tonight. Took me approximately 6 hours on recruit difficulty. A good action packed destruction and explosive filled romp. As someone who’s played Battlefield 4, Hardline, Battlefield 1 and 5, the game is good but like with COD for me, once you’ve played a few of them, you know what to expect. Great campaign, enjoyed it. No real complaints or issues with it other than it’s short and ends on a cliffhanger (or at least that’s how it came across to me anyway).

  • Visuals - 9.0/10 (excellent)
  • Audio - 9.0/10 (excellent)
  • Gameplay/Combat - 7.0/10 (good)
  • Story/Characters - 7.0/10 (good)
  • Overall - 8.0/10 (great)

As mentioned at the start of this post, I have been playing Arc Raiders for the last two months. Thus far, I have just under 250 hours in the game which only accounts for when you’re on the surface in one of the maps. Doesn’t include when you’re in Speranza which is a menu driven HUB area. Have completed all 72 quests which were available to me including the few added during the Cold Snap update.

Overall, Arc Raiders IS the only game to not only get me interested in any type of PvP element but also the only game to where I literally want to keep playing the game. I always want to have one more “run” topside. lol

The game looks great, audio is superb, combat/gameplay is superb even though I wish they would change the “ping” button from RB to some kind of combination and allow RB to be the crouch button instead of the B button because double tapping the B button performs a dodge roll but the problem is that my character will crouch instead which annoys the hell out of me. Story and characters are the weakest aspect of the game but the lore is there and this isn’t the main draw of the game to begin with. Needless to say, I will be playing Arc Raiders on a consistent basis as im loving the game.

  • Visuals - 9.0/10 (excellent)
  • Audio - 10/10 (superb)
  • Gameplay/Combat - 10/10 (superb)
  • Story/Characters - 7.0/10 (good)

My 2025 backlog -

  1. Dying Light: The Beast
  2. Echoes of the End
  3. Ghost of Yotei (PlayStation 5)
  4. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (Switch 2)
  5. Ninja Gaiden 4
  6. The Outer Worlds 2

With regards to my backlog, I will be starting Ninja Gaiden 4 this Wednesday and Echoes of the End next week once I complete Ninja Gaiden 4. February is set to be my expansion month consisting of Indiana Jones, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Star Wars Outlaws and Lies of P: Overture. March is scheduled to be when I setup the Switch 2 and play through Metroid Prime 4 and Super Mario RPG which I bought off ebay two weeks ago for $30 new and sealed.

I will not be playing Dying Light: The Beast, Ghost of Yotei or The Outer Worlds 2 until probably late Spring/Summer because I don’t want to get tired of open world games as my first new game of 2026 will be Crimson Desert in March which im all in for.

I have already beaten the game so I loaded up my last save and traveled back to the Vatican to start the expansion. It’s set during the course of the main story and I am assuming it will just pop up as a new side mission/fieldwork in the Vatican if you’re playing the game for the first time.

Kingdom Come Deliverance. Had it in my Epic library from a freebie. Tried it once before but couldn’t stand the combat. Now playing with some mods to make the combat a bit more forgiving and enjoying it a lot.

I find it funny that since Kiryu doesn’t have anyway to watch movies, I have to go to Fusion to see them, and since he watches both Fusions porn movies and the other movies we can buy(horror, action, drama). Kiryu is likely killing a lot of boners.

When watching a speed run of Kiwami 2, the speed runner had mentioned muscle soda as one of those items that are part of it. I definitely saw how big of a difference it makes in boss fights, using it myself it really makes fights easier.

As bosses don’t get as much of a chance to fight back, as they’re constantly being pushed back by almost every punch.
