With FF7R hitting Xbox, it made me want to go back to FFXV. I started it back on Xbox One X and dropped it roughly 10-15 hours in after multiple attempts to like it.

It finally clicked a couple of weeks ago and I’ve put 40+ hours on it since. I’m on chapter 8 taking on every side quest available before pushing forward. I want to finish it this month and then move on to FF7R or FFXVI next.

Finished Mafia ToC very recently, then Creepy Tale: Some other place, then Nobody wants to die.

Playing :

Beyond a steel Sky and the plan is to start with Indiana Jones today because I feel in a adventurous mood. Really finally want to start with that.

Have fun with Indy. Such a good game. Hoping we get a sequel someday.

I did it! Finally got the true ending for Mio - Memories in Space. I still had to go watch a step by step video, because even though I did everything I needed to do.

I didn’t know the location I needed to be to get it, because like a lot of locations it was hidden away behind another part of the game.

Wanted to add, I’m so glad for the Accesability options, because the final boss had my number.

Jumped back into Monster Train 2 for the new DLC and I finally, finally beat the lifemother for the first time! Now, I’m constantly dying trying to level up the Wurmkin on the second difficulty.

Also hopped back into Digimon Story Time Stranger with the DLC. Man do I wish that was Xbox Play Anywhere. It’s perfect for handheld; I’m jealous of Switch gamers for that one reason. Anyway, it’s fine. The current story is all about the Banchos and I’m actually surprised by the quality of voice acting. Slapped the game on Story difficulty though. I am annoyed by the difficulty. The game isn’t difficult. Like fundamentally, it’s just not. For the entire main story I had it on hard just so fights aren’t too short (made worse by my being over leveled all the time), but what the game did for the end was spike the difficulty by having bosses be these super sponges that take loads of damage while my strongest attacks with the most advantage multipliers just slowly whittle away at their health. The bosses also hit like dump trucks and throw out a million debuffs. Fun. The whole thing became so tedious at the end. Not even putting it on story difficulty fixed that because they still just wouldn’t let me do damage or would nuke my team. And I really should’ve clocked that would be the realm of the dlc when it said “comparable to end game content”. I went in on hard, got stuck, and had to reload and put the dlc on easy :joy:.

Started a game about digging a hole and finished it same day. really enjoyed it and recommended for anyone looking for something short and simple. Every time I came out of the hole for supplies, I couldn’t wait to get back to digging.

Playing Space Marine 2 I can’t believe I missed out on this wonderful title at its launch. The game is awesome fun with epic battles with a great narrative. This is what’s so good about Gamepass is that it helps me play games I would have otherwise overlooked and skipped

It seems MachineGames is going to make a new Wolfenstein game first, if those reports are true. Maybe a bit surprising, because I wouldn’t have been shocked if they went straight to a second Indy game.

The Pragmata demo, looked nice, play smooth, but It feels like a 360 game in disguise. The corridor design and enemy behavior and even the collectibles feel like something from that generation, but maybe this is just tutorial section. The game has a lot to prove for sure.

I just finished it this evening. Testosterone filled carnage from start to finish, and much better than the first game. I’m not the biggest Warhammer fan out there but I thought this was pretty good overall, the universe is growing on me!

Got over my slump and started Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army. i never got to play the original on ps2 and I’m pretty happy with it. I have never played a smt game with action combat (as opposed to turn based) and it’s pretty unique. The combat is good too, you can summon 2 demons to join you in combat. Otherwise it’s pretty standard smt stuff

This is my 1st ever Warhammer game have to say I’m so impressed with all of it. What a game and also shows just what’s so good about GamePass. I get to find out and play games like this.

I am planning to play SMT V: Vengeance this year (probably around summer when I will have more time), never played a SMT game and I am excited!

Back on topic yesterday I finished a Hard, No Upgrades, Bolt Cutter always on playthrough of Cronos: TND and it was hella fun…love this game so much. Now about what is next I tried MiO and while it’s very good from what I played I am not in the mood for a Metroidvania and since I don’t want to start anything lengthy because RE9 is coming soon and it will consume my life I’m planning to play some shmups (Batsugun and Earthion mostly) and replay Vanquish. Quick pick up & play action games is where it’s at for me now.

Man SMTV:V is so good. I’m thinking about replaying it or Nocturne sometime. I look forward to seeing your thoughts on the game. Smt & persona are probably my favorite jrpgs ever. They need to make a current gen collection of the 3ds games

Enjoy Batsugun and Earthion

Just started FF7R, the game looks good in performance mode, but I can’t help but feel that there’s a permanent film grain active at all times. Checking out for mods on PC I notice one from Nexus mods that removes the washout overlay(which as far as I’m concern is film grain, always looks ugly and washed out).

I desperately need to get around to Space Marine remastered and 2 now that both are on GP.

Completed the main story in FFXV. I loved it. I’ll probably play around a bit in the end game and do all the story DLC with the other characters.

FFXIII killed my interests in JRPGs for over a decade. I wish I would have stuck with FFXV for a bit longer back when I originally started it. There’s a good chance it would have reinvigorated my desire to play more FF and JRPGs in general.

What’s next…I bought FFVIIR, FFXVI, Persona 3 and 5, Clair Obscur, and Metaphor Fatanzio. I also have Sea of Stars and Chain of Echoes. Hmmmm…

Was wondering what to play off backlog next and reading this I think I’ll opt for Ffxv.

I hope you enjoy it! Don’t skip out on the story DLC if you have it. It adds a lot more color that fleshes out the story, world and characters.

Episode Ardyn provides a great backdrop to the main campaign on how everything came to be. Wait until after chapter 13 to avoid spoilers. I’d recommend it before getting into chapter 14 to give you more appreciation for what unfolds in that chapter.
