Playing FF7Remake, been enjoying my time with the game but I do have my complaints. Currently I’m at a quest where I have to do a some rhythm based game play and because I turned down the music to zero ( I wanted to be able to hear the chatter from the NPC and the music was getting in the way), it looks all kind of awkward because everyone is performing to nothing.

Speaking of sound, the audio mix in this game is pretty bad, there are times when voices are too loud and times where they’re to soft and usually it’s not because background noise drowned out the voices.

Edit: Yup, just had an entire performance with no music at all and it was awkward AF. Lol!

Wanted a palate cleanser between RPGs and chose Doom The Dark Ages. Holy shit it’s fun, beautiful, brutal and it runs like a dream. Maybe I missed all the fanfare, but it seemed to come and go in the social sphere.

Been playing Cyberpunk for a while now and I entered the Phantom Liberty area and I gotta say, though I’m liking it, I would’ve preferred if this was standalone so that you would focus on just this area and its stories. Getting calls and jobs from the main game is a bit distracting and also affects the pacing & urgency of the story.

Still playing FF7R and I close to the point where we go to Shinra tower and eventually leave Midgar and I have to say if Midgar is the entire game, this game is kind of short. Also the fact that the All materia, is pretty much missing, is kind of criminal.

Completed Ninja Gaiden 4 last week. Great fast paced hack and slash action game. Really good story and characters that I enjoyed more than I did the gameplay/combat (especially since im not good at all the combination related attacks/moves) for various reasons. I will most likely buy the expansion though if it’s good when the time comes.

  • Visuals - 8.0/10 (great)
  • Audio - 8.5/10 (great)
  • Gameplay/Combat - 7.0/10 (good)
  • Story/Characters - 8.5/10 (great)
  • Overall - 8.0/10 (great)

Currently playing God of War: Sons of Sparta. Had $22 credit on my PSN account and listening to Nick on the podcast last night say that he was liking it early on, I was like, why not check it out?

I played four hours today and got back the sculptor’s tools so im very early in the game. The music is pretty good. Voice acting is decent. The art style is nice but the graphics needed more going on in the background and whatnot. Combat/gameplay is basic thus far but solid. I’m enjoying it. Playing on normal and have only died once thus far. Story/characters is okay thus far but again, im very early in the game. Will see how it plays out. Not sure if I will get back to it tomorrow and if I don’t, it will be put on hold for a while as come Tuesday, I will be playing all the new content in Arc Raiders and then start Towerborne next Sunday. Woohoo!!!

Just finished FF7R, it’s a good game with some questionable design choices created just to extend a small part of what was the original game. The combat was fun, as having special moves be part of a ATB bar allowed for some good combinations, it took a while but I got used to changing characters often to keep everyone’s ATB bar going up.

The story is pretty much FF7, with a couple of changes here and there to emphasize that something is going on and this isn’t the same story. The toughest fight in the game was Hojo’s wackamole fight with Barret and Cloud, followed by the motor cycle fight while escaping, as that felt more tedious than fun.

Also I guess the devs agree because after beating the game they give us the option to skip the mini bike fight, lol.

Finished Cyberpunk 2077 through the Phantom Liberty ending. I found it proper, I have no desire to return to the base game ending now. Overall I feel pretty conflicted in whether I think it’s 9/10 or more 7.5/8, the great moments in Cyberpunk are some of the best in any AAA game I played but in between the moments there is so much fluff, confusing menus and loot, and frequent distraction from the meat of the experience. I hope they improve on those aspects for the sequel.

Xbox: Ninja Gaiden 4

Switch: Pokemon Violet

Got Ninja Gaiden 4 on sale yesterday, I’m not very far in. My team so far in Pokemon is Floragato, Gyarados, Drowzee, Phanpy, Ghimighoul and I can’t remember the last guy.

Still want to get a Switch 2 later on after I beat my S1 backlog. Still have 5 games to go not counting Pkmn Violet

Kicking into the Towerborne with my legacy Ace (maybe I’ll do a fresh playthrough later if I really enjoy it). Man I hope this game doesn’t fly under the radar.

After a conversation with a good friend of mine about our skeletons in the closet gaming wise about a week ago I was reminded that I never played Castlevania: Symphony of the Night so I decided to play this and I am stunned at how good this game still plays, it’s so much fun and the game still looks and sounds great (the OST is excellent!). Hiding the better second half of the game (inverted castle) behind an obscure puzzle is crazy and freakin’ awesome at the same time. Now I get why this game is considered one of the GOATs. I am playing on my SX a 1997 game that I bought back in 2007 on my 360, how awesome is that?

Besides SotN I started a new playthrough of Vanquish on Hard just for fun and to improve my score at the leaderboards and playing some old arcade games like Batsugun, Dragon Blaze and Shock Troopers…having a ton of fun with all 3 of them, amazing games.

Today I also got RE9 and Reanimal so these are the next games I will start!

Finished my second playthough of Mio: Memories in Orbit and I just found out we can actually beat the game and get the good ending without fighting the final boss. With at least one other boss that can be skipped as the map is connected in such a way that we can get the progression we need without following along the path.

Edit: I didn’t do everything I did before and was able to finish the game in 9 hours and 40 minutes.

Got a bit ahead of myself. Currently trying to finish Space Marine so I can get to Space Marine 2, and Mio so I can get back to Avowed. But Avowed interrupted Pentiment, which was a break from Another Crab’s Treasure, which I started to have a change of pace from Assassin’s Creed 2. Think I need to clear these in reverse order now … but by the time I get a couple off my list Forza Horizon 6 will be here. Damn you Game Pass.

Trying out Relooted, it’s a time trail(It’s mostly the escape, but that’s the only part that we get rated on) based game with a story about a group of friends and family deciding to return stolen artifacts to the museums of Africa. When starting the game it would be a good idea to lower the gamma a bit as the 22% that it starts in is too high and makes everything look a little washed out.

I am currently playing two games solo and one multiplayer.

First, while Resident Evil is one of my favorite franchises I have yet to play several of the “newer” games. So on Xbox I am currently playing Revelations 2. Perfectly okey game, but not one of the better in the series. I am not too fond of the more action oriented games in the franchise. I like my RE games survival horror and more punishing difficulty wise.

On PC - which is my main platform now a days - I am playing Strategic Command: World War 1 against a friend through Pbem. A very fun and engaging game, with great depth. Highly recommended for anyone who like strategy/wargames and history.

On PC I am also playing Two point hospital. Loved Theme hospital back in the 90s and this game is a perfect remake(ish) with enough modern game quality of life.

Playing Towerborne and it’s just as fun as it was during the early access. Sad to see all of the achievements are rare, too much love was poured into this game and so few are playing it :frowning:

Playing Arc Raiders while waiting for Crimson Desert. I did complete one game and one expansion in the last week.

Completed Ninja Gaiden 4: The Two Masters in under two hours on hero (easy) difficulty but didn’t do any of the side quests. It was a good 7.0/10 for me. Base game is a lot better as it’s much longer and has more depth to the story and characters.

Completed Resident Evil Requiem. Played on casual and completely in third person. Rolled credits in just under 20 hours. Did everything that pops up on the maps for each area. Overall, an excellent game from top to bottom, start to finish. It’s probably my second favorite RE game of all time. REmake2 is #1.

  • Visuals - 10/10 (superb)
  • Audio - 9.0/10 (excellent)
  • Gameplay/Combat - 8.5/10 (great)
  • Story/Characters - 8.5/10 (great)
  • Overall - 9.0/10 (excellent)

I enjoyed the entire game. No major negatives or issues.
