What was your honest opinion of the Xbox games showcase?

I’m one of those weirdos who loves both versions of Halo. I’m replaying through the Classic Bungie Halos now and they hold up incredibly well. Better than any other “old game” IMO. I’ve put 2000+ hours into Halo 5 multiplayer.

The problem with 343s Halo campaigns wasn’t the movement. What they missed from the classics was the understanding of sandbox. There was very little thought or strategy to play 343s games on Legendary. Beating checkpoints was pretty straight forward in terms of what you should do and which weapons were best.

So after recovering from my disappointment of the graphics and watching the video multiple times, was pretty excited about the potential of Infinite’s sandbox.

Oh definitely, I’m much more excited for Infinite than I was for 4-5. And CE is my favorite. Exploring Zeta Halo sounds pretty awesome, I hope there’s a good amount of optional lore, I’m reading a lot about it before it launches (played Halo Wars 1-2, read Halo Mythos, currently reading the Forerunner trilogy, etc.).
