Xbox Acquisition |OT5| Talking Exclusively About Xbox Acquisitions

Microsoft just made some report that they will be making COD and potentially other Activision titles for Playstation. Haven’t got time to check right now.

This is the one you’re thinking of. States Xbox is committed to releasing Call of Duty and “other” Activision-Blizzard titles on Playstation beyond the contracts in existence (among plenty of other tidbits).

So OW2, COD, WOW, Diablo 4 Any popular online game would be multiplatform

And here’s the quote I’m sure everyone will be talking about for the next little bit:

To be clear, Microsoft will continue to make Call of Duty and other popular Activision Blizzard titles available on PlayStation through the term of any existing agreement with Activision. And we have committed to Sony that we will also make them available on PlayStation beyond the existing agreement and into the future so that Sony fans can continue to enjoy the games they love. We are also interested in taking similar steps to support Nintendo’s successful platform. We believe this is the right thing for the industry, for gamers and for our business.

tbh this open a chance for MS to devour both EA and T2

At the end … only Gamepass fans win

I hope they atleast make the COD better on Xbox consoles

Change EA and T2 to Capcom and Sega and everyone would be happy.

Everybody wins, if sony fanboys claim to sustain the industry they can definetely spend 70 bucks + tax on a game.

Thanks, got busy the exact second I saw it!

These shenanigans better mean they announce Sega next Tuesday.

Could MS appeasing regulators with this statement mean that they would have more chances to have another big acquisition cleared while the ABK deals is still not approved ?

edit: or rather that the ABK deal could still be approved while they would announce their intent to acquire another publisher (more logical timeline)

So MS strategy now is ‘do it for Gamepass’ ?

Gamepass is the thing that gains from this Activision deal + a foothold in mobile gaming space

MS really want to change the way this business is done.

They want to bring everything into the subscription business. They even want there rivals to come into this business.

It’s all about Gamepass

Good for me

Give them a day and they’ll calm down. Meanwhile I’m still wishing for Asobo IOI and Sega

Haha I’ve been thinking MS might get em for a bit, to be honest I just want GTA in GP and I don’t care how much that’ll cost MS
