Switch is the perfect platform for Microsoft to get on considering there’s almost 10 million of them out there.

We been demanding because, be honest the Xbox one generation was not good as the 360 people said we have no games and specs on the Xbox one sucks cock and balls now we are getting great games and the spec on the series x is better then the PS5

Imagine that. Sadly, we, the customers with an Xbox won’t really benefit in any way of this. Except maybe the increase of Japanese content on Xbox.

Yeah… I was thinking that too. And I literally don’t care where it is.

If xbox could stream xCloud on actual clouds for the 3 people that would try to use it, why wouldn’t they? Say you only get 100k people from switch ecosystem who wouldn’t have tried it out otherwise. Sounds like a win.

Nah man. Good luck getting games like Gears 5, Halo Infinite, Starfield, Fable, Avowed, Hellblade 2 etc to run on Dinosaur hardware. Sure, there will probably be Switch Pro, so more or less a PS4 probably, still not good enough. So will Nintendo arrange devs to port these games over so they can run on it? Cause i doubt XGS devs will want to make versions for Xbox Series hardware AND Switch.

Especially in times like these with covid, and the end of that isn’t exactly in sight. So making these games available natively for Switch would only be more work, much more and no way in hell will devs gimp XSX&XSS versions, hell no.

My bad, I hadn’t thought about those games running natively against Switch OS. No way MS is going to spend $500 million porting all those games. So yeah it’s xCloud or nothing.

Cool. We both have different views on this. My reasoning is the hololens demo, and they’re neighbors in WA. And yes I know all about Nintendo’s involvement in the ownership of the Pokémon company.

But I do still think there’s a decent chance actually.

This ^ thank you Xbox need to be showing Nintendo why putting their games on Xbox and therefore gamepass and Xcloud would benefit them with the new user reach, cloud infrastructure, and technology. Like you said Hololens for Pokemon! Microsoft could run Nintendo’s entire online service in their cloud, manage it, improve it, grow it. Nintendo gets more money due to gamepass subs playing their games. Xbox gets more users and money as well.

Who is the consumer of Xbox? Is it xbox owners and PC owners? Is it Xbox/PC/iOS/Android/TV owners?

IMO, last gen it was the former. This gen it is the later. I’d argue that the latter list includes effectively all Switch and PS5 users by virtue of the fact that they have smart phones and TVs.

What is the impact of allowing streaming on a competitors device?

Because of my thoughts on question 1, id argue that they are all potential customers of Xbox already and if they wanted to stream Xbox games they could do it with one of their existing devices. Some people may not buy an Xbox because they are fine with streaming, I don’t think that is an issue. Giving people addition device options would not have a negative affect on the platform.

The biggest question to ask is what appeal do XBox first party have for Nintendo Switch gamers. Will people who playing Zelda/Animal Crossing/Mario care about any of Halo/Gears/Forza/SoT? I think they probably like Cuphead and would love the Ori series. Ori is the key.
